BTW, it isn't a funding issue. Many school districts (e.g., Camden NJ, Washington DC, etc.) spend $20,000+ per student per year and still yield abysmal results.
FIX AMERICA'S SCHOOLS!!! And if that can't be done despite spending a crap ton of money on them (ahem... Camden NJ, Washington DC, etc., schools), at the very least give everyone school vouchers/choice and STOP trapping minorities in our crappy US public schools. STOP letting teacher unions TRAP minority kids in crappy schools just so they can keep getting a guaranteed paycheck. It's child abuse and deliberate economic oppression.

You hit the nail on the head. The only thing you left out was the rate of single parent black households. Research shows that fatherless societies have higher rates of poverty yet the liberals champion single parents and deadbeat dads. So, add that to the fact that their kids are stuck in crappy schools (thanks liberal teacher unions), and you have what we are experiencing today...

That, too, was deliberately socially engineered by Democrats. LBJ, to be specific. Get Uncle Sugar to replace the husband/father in the household in order for the already economically oppressed (see my post on how US K-12 education deliberately disadvantages minority students) needy families to be eligible for public assistance benefits, and voilà !... Instant and complete elimination of minority nuclear families, thereby further disadvantaging and oppressing minorities.
