Interesting that you believe having NO national policy about containing the current pandemic is the best policy. Explains a lot about his base.
Germany is as leftist now as in the day it entertained the National (as in NPR, NARAL, NOW) Socialist (as in Socialist) German Workers (as in workers.org, Working Families) Party. Nothing has changed. And they're muzzling people still.
History's most notorious, and universally acknowledged, fascist edited Italy's early mid-century Socialist broadsheet Avanti! (translation: "Forward!").
And yet, the Nazi’s jailed the Socialists and Communists. So there goes your theory.

Pandemics:
Germany (83 million population): 110 deaths/ per million, 7-day new case average - 516, 7-day new deaths average - 6
US (328 million): 451 deaths/per million, 7-day case average - 68k, 7-day average new deaths - 918
I have an Irish inlaw that gets all his information from the BBC and CNN. He hates Trump and will yell and scream all day about him. He won't listen to any logic or reasoning. It is funny how one angle, one news source can brainwash someone into a serious case of TDS. It is not only the people of Germany that do not understand America.
No, unfortunately, it is also most Americans, like the OP.

Yeah, we are doing just great.

With all due immense respect, please do not be afraid to post what you feel! This is why the country is going down the toilet, terrorist home grown creeps are frightening people into saying what they feel and sadly some have died for posting a Trump sign or saying "All Lives Matter" Speaking for myself, if I have to die, I am going to die Fighting!
I’m not afraid. I am just weary — sick and tired of wasting my time arguing with people whose minds are already made up.

Thank you for the info, I'm well aware of it.
The current thread appears to be about Germany and US though.
