This month, the California Supreme Court, which oversees the state bar, agreed to lower the passing score for the exam, a victory for law school deans who have long hoped the change would raise the number of Black and Latino people practicing law.
I don't think anything could be more racist than this. It's shocking that they're saying it out loud. "Lets lower standards so more black people can become lawyers". Ugghhh...
You know, they could have actually provided a legitimate reason for wanting to lower the passing score, but they specified race as a way to score brownie points with the leftist mob.
Never meant that my friend immigrated from Korea to the U.S in middle school not speaking a word of English yet passed the bar exam with flying colors on the first try.

If I was a Black or Latino and I read this, I would be insulted to say the least.
Who the hell thinks they are doing me a 'favor' by basically telling the public, hey, we need to lower the standards because "you people" are too dumb to make the cut as is currently.
So condescending, pandering, insulting.
Yet, sadly, I bet many don't see it that way and think it's perfectly acceptable to lower standards in order to be more 'diverse.'
This is why artificially forced diversity is nothing but a crock of dung.
CA has always been one of the toughest bar exams in the country. If you're worried about your lawyer being incompetent maybe see if they took in it one of the high pass states on this list.

I’ll say that low or high passage rate can speak to the ease of the exam or to the stupidity or smartness of the people taking the exam.
I’m licensed in NY. The NY passage rate is around 60%, which is higher than some states. But the NY exam is regarded as one of the more difficult bar exams.

Are those ranked by academic rigor or is California just a low pass state because lots of non-whites take the test and drive the average down?
