Are you referring to the current "protests" or are you referring to protests in general? If it is the former, there is no way in h*ll I would ever stop by one of those for the following reasons: 1) I don't want to risk getting COVID; and 2) Most of those peaceful protests have turned violent. Why would any sane person want to stop by?

Weird. The people I know who have gone to protests in Portland this week?

A teacher
A school bus driver
A nurse.
A software engineer.

But yeah sure, you folks keep thinking these are garbage people. Some of them probably are-most are not.

Are you talking about peaceful protests out in the 'burbs? Besides, those people you know apparently thought nothing about being in large crowds while we're in the middle of a pandemic. That doesn't speak well of them

So the plan is to label people we personally disagree with as sub-human to justify horrible acts against fellow human beings? That's a road Nazis went down a few decades ago, and that thought process is very dangerous.

Wear a mask and talk to them from six feet away. Most protests are peaceful. The only people who think otherwise are people who consume all their information from right wing sources, and have never actually experienced a protest in person.

Join a message board or forum that leans left wing, talk to people there. Have conversations with people who think differently than yourself.

1. Why did you put an asterisk in the word 'hell'?
2. Wear a mask and talk to them from six feet away. Most protests are peaceful. The only people who think otherwise are people who consume all their information from right wing sources, and have never actually experienced a protest in person.
I marched in civil rights marches back in the day - not riots, note, but marches. Ones that did not destroy property, ones that did not blind people trying to do their job. Ones that did not seek to destroy the nation. We had a purpose, we had chants, we had signs, and none of it included the word destroy.

I agree most people at these protests/riots are not bad people. They are bored people and the “protest” is the hottest social event in town. I’ve seen the videos of the dancing in the streets, they look like they are at a big street party and having an excellent time. Those decent people are there because they are allowed to socialize at a protest and they aren’t allowed to have a party. Humans, especially teens and young adults, crave social interaction.

And, I do not want to hear from anyone how these riots aren’t contributing to the CoVid surge, talk about denial of science.

I see a violent minority hijacking peaceful protests. Talking to protesters in person, they say the same thing. The problem with extreme right wing forums like this, honestly, is that they take those violent people and assume everyone protesting must be similar.

They may not all be bad, but there are plenty of them that are very stupid. It isnt all a party. There is a lot of property damage and arson going on.

I do agree though that the COVID lockdowns are a big part of why so many of these idiots have snapped.

That is just a weak sauce talking point of the DNC and their useful idiots.

Where have you seen "peaceful protests" where the participants are all keeping social distance? Post a photo. However, I doubt you would ever find one.

I have experienced a protest in person as a participant. Neither side had a huge group and no one stirred up big trouble. The worst that happened was a couple of people on the opposing side slung some verbal abuse our way. In one case, a police officer intervened to quiet it down.

You are fooling yourself if you think that these recent protests are "peaceful". Did you watch the video of the peaceful one that turned violent? If not, you really need to see it:

https://www.facebook.com/WGNTV/video...id=18&__tn__=R

Now, after seeing it, don't say it was a one off. It's not.

You do know that more liberals than conservatives have college degrees by a fairly wide margin, right?
Then maybe they need to start acting like they have some sense. Or is it just the 'uneducated' liberals out there not burning buildings and looting.... you know, just peacefully protesting.

Why worry about work today, when the coming Socialism will take care of you tomorrow.

It's like the college kids that gave their tuition loan money to the Sanders campaign. He was going to forgive all the student debt, so it was a good investment.
