From what I gather, there are peaceful protests from a kinda questionable BLM cohort, and a bunch of a-hole rabble rousers who want to burn or steal things at night. Neither is pure as the driven snow, but one deserves some police intervention, the other not so much.

Nowhere does the 2nd Amendment said the armed citizenry must be peaceful. In fact, the very existence of the Amendment implies it would not be peaceful in nature.

In other words, they are doing what the Constitution allows them to do. Anyone has a problem with that also has a problem with the Constitution.

Except for the fact that there isn't any actual tyranny for them to be fighting against.

At least not how they're attempting to paint it.

In a bizarre turn of events, the NY Times has concluded that CHAZ/CHOP was a violent disaster.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/07/u...-protests.html

And Mayor Wheeler of Portland, finally came to the understanding that burning buildings with people in them was bad.

So...maybe...progress?

Actually it is very believeable that the Democrats have been lying about the "peaceful protestors" all this time.

If the protests are "violent'' and the democrats are lying, they are just following the example of the policing in the country and leader in charge. Fair is fair.

That makes absolutely no sense.

Huh? How about that. And here I was thinking that that perfectly summed up the other side of the aisle. Guess I'd better go buy a MAGA cap.

Unbelievable that the Democrats don't see that these aren't peaceful protests anymore

President Donald Trump has created a situation where his followers are blaming the BLM Movement for the violence at the protests in cities across the United States, but intelligence assessments offer evidence that organized extremists are behind the turmoil.

Individual police departments and intelligence agencies alike suspect white supremacists are working online to increase tensions between protesters and law enforcement by calling for acts of violence against both groups. Following their success at causing individual acts on the ground and incidents resulting in arrests and indictments, in multiple cities, it is becoming clear to investigators that in numerous cases those causing the violence in cities were not local to those cities and were actually from out of state. Typically other groups out to cause harm and dissension and civil discord are also involved.

Outside agitators from extremist and fringe organizations have opportunistically been causing chaos and violence by showing up at the peaceful protests across the nation. The President of the United States in his usual anti-American self perceived role as accuser/jury/ judge has inflamed the tensions, exacerbated problems in individual cities and made the situation worse for the nation and the populace of those cities. He has used political rhetoric and accusations against duly elected Democratic leaders and manipulated the narrative as a strategy for re-election.

Peaceful protesters far outnumber any bad actors. That the President of the United States saw the valid and real problem of racial injustice and police brutality, in our nation, as a wedge issue for re-election is disgusting. That he then used his position for inciteful rhetoric and cruel, unnecessary actions is reprehensible. That after inflaming the problem he then blames his political opponents, and any American who belongs to the Democratic Party, for the divide and discord and dissension, shows us he is unfit and unworthy to serve any or all of us.

All Americans see the violence the opportunistic agitators and bad actors are causing, you don't have to wear an R or a D on your sleeve to see it. What is unbelievable is that the President of the United States has seized on a problem that is a national problem, intentionally aggravated it, encouraged violent rhetoric and response to it and then turns around and convinces "his voters" it is a Democratic Party problem. The Trumpian MO.

A more apt thread title would be: Unbelievable that Trumpers don't see that Donald J Trump has no interest in solving a national problem. His only interest is in making it worse to make them more afraid of it and telling them who to blame for it.

I hope Trump wins the election. He's not blind to what is happening and wants to put a stop to the chaos. Democrats want to allow the chaos to continue. That just makes no sense.

We're in trouble if Biden wins and Nancy Polosi controls the puppet strings.

the only thing that makes sense is they have a reason for these "useful idiots". I believe it is to make Trump's presidency so bad that people will be so unhappy and in such a bad financial situation, that they will naturally blame it on the president and keep him from being elected.

the fact that they are so blatantly allowing these riots in Portland - no logical sane person would allow it but they are. They have a reason for all this destruction. they claim its first amendment rights, but its pretty lame when you see they are allowing destruction.

it has to be political.

but the reasonable rational people like me and you can look at this and say "they are really doing this and making up excuses, and it is a reality - they are allowing destruction and making escuses and lying about it"

THAT is the most stupefying reality, the fact that they hate Trump so much, they would tear down their own cities and endanger the lives of their citizens. It makes you believe why Nazi Germany was allowed to happen, where German citizens allowed the destruction of innocent people to die in concentration camps.. and we wonder how could they let that happen? but that type of thing is happening right here in America. with these riots.

About the ONLY good thing you can say about Democrats, is that they stay by their Playbook, which is do anything, say anything, promise anything---just to BEAT Trump, who is one of our greatest presidents EVER! Like his personality, or not, he delivers---for ALL Americans! Trump/AMERICA 2020
