God knows the Republican party was no good before Trump came along, and without him they would still be no good. But with Trump the party has turned into nothing but a personality cult.
No ideology, just whatever Trump wants. The followers will support anything he says or does, and follow him when he changes his mind. This time around he has nothing new to offer, no vision for a second term, no policy goals. It's just like 2016 again. Let Trump be Trump
I am going to make a guess here. Trump has something in the range of ten more decent years, maybe more or maybe less, but his days are numbered like all of ours. There is nothing to replace him with. The movement will die with him. It will deflate like a balloon.
But the Big Dark Money which normally funds the Republican party will still be there, still controlling the country and still making your lives miserable.
Dems who don't walk away are too depressed, angry and/or apathetic at being disenfranchised by their own party elites. Why bother having DNC primaries if Dem voters are ignored?

The real fight, as I see it, is a fight to restore founding principles such as protecting life, liberty, the pursuit of one's own happiness, and rights associated with property ownership, and, especially restoring and protecting the inalienable right of people being free to mutually agree in their contracts and associations ___ a right which the communist/socialist controlled democrat leadership [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, etc.] fear and despise with a passion.

Let’s not forget Joe Biden does not support the right to work and individuals being free to negotiate their own employment contracts. He wants every American to pay a union representative a monthly kickback fee in order to work in America.
Biggest issue now for the Democratic Party is how to put the crazy back into the genie bottle? It's not easy! Do you think all those condo and business owners in downtown liberal cities aren't nervous? Let's add some police defunding in for good measure to intensify the level of danger! I live in Seattle and work downtown. If I had a dollar for every "my god, what are they doing?" uttered, I'd be retired.
Lot's of moderate liberals won't endorse crazy. It's not like they'll flip a switch and vote for Trump. That ain't happening. Conversely, they think back to the old Obama days and ponder, "where has my party gone?" It's a valid question!!!!
My prediction is they won't vote for anybody in November and this doesn't bode well for the Democratic Party.
Great point, as a life elong Democrat I am seriously contemplating voting libertarian. I like Biden, but this **** show is unacceptable and must be stopped.
