I agree there is no way people should trust their vote to be counted correctly via mail. It is a centuries old practice that will not scale to a country with tens of millions of letter ballots. It will also rely on the honesty and non-bias of humans which we know doesn't exist. People should vote at the ballot box, make it as safe as possible, masks required, lines spaced out and people distancing. Mail in is a disaster waiting to happen.
A federal mandate should require states to keep their polling stations open in November.
They might need to expand early voting or extend voting hours then. Far too many states during the pandemic had a lot of issues with voting locations closing down the week or day of and longer than normal lines.
Nope, not going to happen. We need to vote on Nov.3. Anyone who feels unsafe going to the polls, stay home and mail it in, the rest of us can go to the polls to vote. It will require some adjustments, but we will make it work out.
Sorry the vote and democracy must take place. I haven’t heard of any studies that show that wide spread abuse is prevalent among mail in absentee voting.

As someone said, Democrats take President Trump literally but not seriously. Republicans take him seriously but not literally. He's making a point about the security of mail in balloting where cheating is easy (Or are you going to pretend the Republican in NC wasn't charged with voter fraud?).
Someone may want to educate Trump that elections are not the dominion of the Executive branch. The King has no authority on the matter.
