Oh it’s worse than the flu, for sure, but smallpox it’s not.
The inconsistency in maintaining the basic precautions is baffling. If you don’t have to wear a mask, people don’t, which is frustrating to think we need to resort to mandates to get that done. Enforcement is shoddy; when I last went to Walmart, one guy went in sans mask, passing and ignoring two employees who told him he needed one to enter, but they did nothing anyway. Weirdness.
Was it a knee jerk reaction? Yeah, probably so, though we knew little about it since the CCP worked hard at trying to keep it under wraps. What’s critical now is to use what we seem to know now as a way to steer policy. Sunlight as well as artificial UV seems to be very effective at killing it, so outdoor spaces should remain open, for the most part. UV for indoor spaces would be advisable. And I’ll tear a page from Joe Rogan’s book: why aren’t we pushing information about improving your own immunity?
Yeah it's sad that there is no enforcement for masks. What employee wants to risk his or her life to enforce such a thing?
I listen to Joe Rogan too. And we are pushing information about improving our own immunity. Of course, some would be opposed to that as well because they don't want to be told they have to do anything. You know, muh rights and all that, ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.

Studies of cell phone GPS demonstrated that people across the United States began limiting their movements before there were any lockdowns.
