Trump’s guy can do all that but if he’s not prepared to open ballots and toss out votes not for Trump then I doubt he will be able to stop the blue wave.

A lot of people see the democrats and their supporters as being very pretentious and callous to the concerns of middle America. I still think a lot of them for the most part vote against their own interests, but democrats aren't doing themselves any favors with their rhetoric.

I support keeping the USPS going. Both of my parents did start off in the postal service as blue collar letter carriers, and they are both staunch democrats. It seems that people think the post office should run like a business, well if it only did profitable routes, large swaths of the country would go without parcel service or pay exorbitant prices.
I honor and respect your parents. Blue collar workers are the life blood of this country. To pay for college I worked loading trucks for UPS . We on the left have turned the other cheek while the right has demonized and kicked us around for years. I'm done playing nice. I will not stand around while good honest hard working Americans are put out of work due to Republican greed. I'm tired of custodians and truck drivers without HS diplomas telling me that it's ok to put OTHERS out of work because some billionaire says so. It's deplorable.

Or any woman after seeing how he has treated women in his past. Not too mention Melania his own wife, stepping out with a porn star while she is at home pregnant with his son. Women that have had kids, think about that for a minute. Does he sound disrespectful to you.

I see his loyal followers like this. Being in love, you never see their faults, you are smitten with them. Maybe even marry them. Well the divorce rate is about 50%. You wised up. its even higher in sequential marriages. Some times it takes time to see the true person. But eventually it does come out.

Thank you.

I understand the frustration, but I'm trying to figure out what you mean by you're tired of custodians and truck drivers telling you it's ok to put others out of work because some billionaire says so? Are you referring to Donald Trump? What situation are they saying it's okay to put other people out of work? Are you referring to the USPS debacle or something else?

I just hope that at least some of these people can be reached, but the democrats haven't been doing a good job with this. The democrats support many policies that hurt these workers, likewise for republicans. Overall, the democrats will go further to support their interests though.

I am not an elitist . I didn't grow up with silver spoon. I debate with people from all backgrounds. What really bothers me is when the common working blue collar stiff supports the president when he is actively calling for the end of the postal service. There are thousands of workers who would lose their jobs. How would they feel if Trump called for automated trucking? Or automated labor? How can the common man even support such a thing?

The left will lose on the messaging no matter what. We have tried to coddle Trump's base and the tea party and middle America while the Fox news and right wing msm demonize us every chance they get. Wild conspiracy theories. Lies. Nonsense.

Yep, we should've listened to Kramer 30 years ago on this. Even Newman conceded he was correct.

But if we need to have this appalling violator of the nonagression principle invading our privacy and stealin our shekels, I must concede, Wilford Brimley should be leading it.

I trust that you aren’t an elitist. I just suggest that if we want to bring people over away from Trump and the republicans, then we need to work on the rhetoric. Some people can be convinced that they are going against their economic interests. I think automation will be something that the worker will have to deal with whether trump advocates for it or not. He doesn’t really have an effect on how the private market will seek to cut labor costs. The postal service is totally in his wheelhouse though.

There are people who feel that even if the postal service goes away there will be opportunities for employment amongst their competitors. We need to stress it to them that the pay and benefits will likely go down if this happens. Not to mention he has quite a rural following, they will lose parcel service or pay exorbitant prices. This can affect the delivery of prescriptions to elderly, mail in voting, etc.

That’s fine, just push the message out there. There is no need to attack large swaths of the country while spreading that message though. If they accept it, good, if they don’t fine. We can attack their ideas, we don’t have to attack their identity. Of course, I think it’s cool to call out any hypocrites or a-holes.
