Condé Nast Entertainment chief Oren Katzeff is being replaced after employees uncovered 'sexist' posts he shared on his Twitter account almost a decade ago.

Variety announced the news on Friday, saying Katzeff would be replaced by Disney veteran Agnes Chu from September 1.

A Condé Nast spokesperson told DailyMail.com that Katzeff was 'taking on a new role in the company' but would not give any further details.

They would also not confirm whether he stepped down voluntarily or was pushed out of the top job because of the tweets.
So sad how easy it is to ruin someone's livelihood just because of the mental gymnastics needed to find such things "offensive" in the first place.

I don't understand how people in the past managed to survive with things like this:

Dude should get a promotion for having a sense of humor.

I'm bald. Mostly due to chemo. Guess what? You can make all the bald jokes you want and I won't be offended. I've had people try to insult me by calling me bald. I laugh and say duh!

The Daily Beast reported last month that those old tweets - which have seen been deleted - were being circulated among Condé Nast staff.

At the time, Katzeff apologized for the tweets, but claimed that they were posted while he was working in comedy.

'History has shown that they are not funny and I regret posting them. I'm sorry for the offense and pain they may have caused,' he stated.
The guy is forced to apologize for having written a few mainstream, middle-of-the-road, PG-rated jokes about women. And then he's fired anyway.

Yep, but it's totally fine because of "WOMEN EMPOWERMENT!!!". At this point, I would love it if we gave women complete control of the world and once they start a Nuclear Holocaust men can at least say "We told you so!".

Just wish some of these loser media /communications companies had some guts. People are losing their income over trivial things.
