This China virus acts in unexpected ways is what we are finding out !!!
Maybe he stood for the national anthem and this is a smart virus, so it punishes the patriotic?
If he had Myocaditis prior to Covid, wouldn't this have been detected during sports physicals that professional athletes typically have?
The myocarditis is consequent to the infection. It’s a known complication of viral illnesses. Sometimes happens with influenza, too. There appears to be higher incidence with Covid, though, based on a small observational study out of Germany. Definitely needs further investigation. As for the baseball player, he’ll likely recover. A danger of myocarditis is reduced effectiveness of the heart muscle, which causes the blood to pool and clot, raising the risk of stroke, so treatment will include a blood thinning agent until the inflammation resolves.
