I took the 23 and me thing a couple christmases ago. The confidence level on those things isnt as high as youd like but the results came back that im .3% nigerian. It gives you the time frame that your last ancestor left the homeland and it said ihad ancestors in nigeria dating back to thr 1600s. I thought it was bunk but my mom did the test and got the same results.
Should i be ashamed that my relatives mignt have owned slaves?
You'd think that almost all white people with ancestors who lived in America from long ago would have at least a trace amount of West African ancestry, but results like the OP's are surprisingly uncommon.

Why would you be ashamed that your ancestors were black slaves, it wasn't their fault.

No body should ever be ashamed of who they are.
But I do have a suggestion what you should be.......
First in line if a communist run congress ever passes a "reparations law".
