Another reform needed by constitutional amendment.
No person from outside a jurisdiction shall influence an election. AKA NYC Dems do not get to influence a Kansas election.
Goes both parties trying to sway elections of the other party.
So aren't super PAC's run by billionaire donors great, so much dark money influencing our elections. We can thank conservatives for the Citizens United challenge, this is what they wanted so stop complaining. Remember these PAC's don't coordinate with the candidates.
Kobach had some issues even without the democratic adds.
Strange that he never addressed mail-in ballots it was all about voter ID's.

I don’t disagree with that. I felt that the best way to take money out of politics would be to allow a politician to only raise money from the area they would be serving. So only the president would raise money nationally.
But here’s the issue. There would be one exception to that, naturally that ban couldn’t be applied to the parties that the pol was aligned with, so you would then be giving an oversized influence to the parties.
However beware of what you wish for. Google Lincoln dinners. I have seen tens of thousands of dollars come in from just one of those. They would be all done.

Anyone beside me remember the VoteStand guy who claimed he had proof of 3M+ illegal votes?
I personally don't agree with Democrats leveraging a PAC to get what is perceived as a more vulnerable general election Republican candidate to run against. But we've seen this in varying degrees. There was a fairly public push in late February in South Carolina to get Republicans to show up at the Democratic primary to vote for Sanders (open primary in SC). I don't mean some sort of Facebook-type effort to convince Republicans to vote for Sanders - party leaders in the state were openly pushing for this.
I saw this in my county and a few other counties as well. There were some road signs put up too - some were shoddily made, but there was an effort for "Republicans for Sanders - Vote Feb 29th!"
I don't like it when Republicans do it. I don't like when Democrats do it.

All for it. Get Koch money out of local issues.
