I'm not going to get into the whole lib\con thing.

Not that even after the stories below, there still hasn't been the political will in Chicago to really enforce serious reforms.

So maybe the more accurate way to say it is that some city governments talk a good game about reforms but lack the conviction to carry through or are able to use their political clout to placate people into believing action was taken.

I mean seriously, BLM has legitimate points and when you look at all the BS and non-action that has been shoveled on them by these big city politicians they should be frustrated and mad.

However, once again rather than sticking to a cause it appears that political allegiances will undermine BLM.

It was sad watching DeBlasio "dance a little sidestep" with that painting BLM publicity stunt. The media is complicit in letting the boss of the NYPD pass the buck on his departments abuses and policies.

The New York City Police Department is headed by the Police Commissioner, who is appointed by the Mayor.

A new poll spells absolute disaster for the Seattle City Council pushing to defund the Seattle police by 50%. Only 32% back the reckless council plan. The vast majority of Seattle voters support only a modest cut and favor the Chief of Police to decide what happens.

The poll by EMC Research, a firm normally favored by left-leaning clients, was conducted between July 22 and 27 as the debate to decimate the Seattle Police Department heated up.

No matter the spin, there’s little good news in this poll for anti-police politicians and fringe community activists. Still, the council readies a plan to cut SPD funding. But they do so risking their seats on the council.
Not surprising at all. 50% is obviously too much. The mayor is proposing 5%.

Small percentages of the people support these radical policies.... and yet when it comes time to vote for city council they'll put the same cast of idiots and communists (yes, there are literal self-professed communists-- at least one) on the council.

For all the liberals' pretense to higher intelligence they seem to lack an understanding of "cause and effect."

They keep saying "defund the police is not what you think it means". Then why pander to the mob and increase street violence? Words apparently only have consequence when you disagree that men and women are different but not when more people are getting shot in urban violence because they know police aren't allowed to do their job anymore

They will until their crime rate skyrockets.

Liberals, as they shun history, do not read and thus need to directly experience the consequences of actions the rest of us already know about. The liberal must directly experience misery and deprivation personally, as they cannot benefit from written history (as they have attempted to eliminate it or ignore it).

If one ever questioned whether liberals are insane, that question has been answered this year.

However, who really cares whether libs kill themselves and destroy their own cities? They have really asked for it, so deserve all the misery that comes with liberal politics.

Maybe they should try a different slogan than "Defund the police?"

If you have to keep explaining that the plain, ordinary meaning of words does not mean what everyone thinks it does... then it's a failed strategy.

Then again, this is all coming from the same group that has already redefined "racism" and "white supremacy" and even "Nazi" to suit their particular agenda, so we have to understand the world-view they are operating from.

Guess the poll shows a 32% moronism rate in Seattle.

I really don't see how anyone could expect there to be law and order when there is no one to enforce the law and order. Or is it just that we want to return to the law of the jungle? I guarantee you the liberals would not like the law of the jungle at all. And they probably would not be around to not like it for long, either.
