The chart you link to is only dealing with confirmed cases.

It has been known for some time that the CFR is around 0.5% or less if you take into account the antibody survey data meaning people who had it but never had contact with the medical system and recovered without being counted as a confirmed case.

Never happened.

Researchers in Washington wanted to go back and test samples collected for a study on influenza for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2. They were told not to do so because the test they planned to use was not certified. That was sorted out and the samples were tested. No one was "shut down".

Day to day in the US, scamvid-19 is getting spread around to thousands upon thousands, most probably do not even know they got it.

The total deaths creep-up slowly, while at the same time the number of infected keeps
soaring up and up.

0.2% or 0.6% - we cannot spend our lives in quarantine. we cannot continue living like this without a solid plan

I would probably die from a heart attack caused by COVID-19 "new normal"

It says right in the Johns-Hopkins link: Confirmed cases.

It doesn't say death rate. It says death rate considering confirmed cases.

Huge - huge - difference.

yep, if we all stayed the same as we were in march till it was over, we would be fine and only 10,00 or so would be gone, not 4,000,000+

Our Mohave county in AZ is now down from 10% to about a 5% death rate as they do more testing. Ours is one of the poorest, poorest health and least educated in the country. Early on we hardly tested anyone unless they were really sick. And they tended to be high risks to begin with. Thus the relatively high death rate.

These numbers vary widely based on locale and timing within the overall pandemic.

I had it in March. Sick as a dog for a week. I gave it to my wife and it nearly killed her. If I wasn't a doc, no doubt she'd be dead. She is still recovering.

I gave her Plaquenil + zpak + vit d + vit c + zinc, by the way. Before it all became a political football.

From what I have heard those things are still being given....they just aren't a cure all and not some magic cureall.

That's the issue, Trump and his supporters implying that there is a cure for the virus.....you might get better or you might not. Ask the broadway star who died, Herman Cain,, etc.

I'm glad your wife is feeling better.
