This will happen here. We allowed "hate" based laws here, too. The Left is doing everything within their power to take down the 1st Amendment, and "hate speech" will likely be the strategy which ends up being successful.
Right or left, you need to be against this. If you're ignoring it because you support Democrats, consider the reality that Democrats won't always be in control of the government before you cede too much of your freedom to it.

hmm, I don't think calling a transgender woman man = abuse although I think calling a transgender woman man is pretty disrespectful, Just my opinion.
As a Christian, I don't believe homosexuality is an unforgivable sin. I will just say that, Something often misunderstood by many people is what the Bible says about homosexuality. Put simply, Homosexuality was not in the original bible and it only appeared because of a mistranslation that altered the bible to fit the social norms of the 1970s. But this is another topic.
I think this topic should be discussed in small group or bible studies. Shouting in public is not a good approach, it will **** off a lot of people. This said, he should not be arrested.

This is nothing new. During the late Roman empire. Greco/Roman pagan poems and stories was troubling or problematic. Even emperor Justinian closed the school of philosophy started by Aristotle. I am a product of a mixed race marriage. If somebody shouting in public, "All mixed raced people will not be accepted by God." I would just walk away without giving it a second thought. People have different opinions, period. Let them talk. What is the point of arresting people just because their opinions are unpopular or are different from yours. sheesh, people, think, okay? think!
Why is freedom of speech important? It allows the free exchange of ideas, helps others see different perspectives, causes facts to be revealed (as well as exposes lies), and sends a clear message on where the speaker stands.
If any government moves to stifle speech they don’t like, then their population isn’t free, they are controlled.
The first amendment doesn't trump other rights. The SCOTUS has already ruled that speech can be limited in certain situations that pose an imminent danger, such as inciting a riot. So yes, it can happen here if the incendiary speech puts people's lives at risk. But in the situation above, the only life in danger would seem to be the preacher's. The crowd exercised admirable self-restraint.
Shhhhh.....Don't let Leftists know that Blacks, Hispanics, and Filipinos are more likely to be Christian than White Americans. Might cause them to reconsider or will it?
