The Kult doesn't matter how bad his interview was. He could have started crying and whining halfway through and the Kult would come on here and say crying and whining is a sign of winning leadership. It amazes me how loyal these Kultists are.
Respected journalist? I'm almost 40 and have never even heard of him.
You say that as if it's something to be proud of.

It is fake news.

That is called fake, BS news.
This is where we have arrived. The interview happened. Questions were asked and answered. It was taped. And yet, somehow, in the heads of some, it's "fake".
Said it before: When Trump or a follower says "Fake news", they do not mean news that are fake. They are tacitly admitting the existence of something truthful and factual, but in opposition to correct political doctrine. And so, in an act of fealty to a politician rather then to truth, they remove it from consideration. Acknowledging it exists is heresy.
Orwell was such an optimist when he imagined that a huge bureaucracy would be necessary to present a revised version of history. The proper loyalists do the work of the Ministry of Truth voluntarily, 24/7, in their own minds. The interview may have happened, but it's still fake. And because it's fake, it should be ignored.
"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." Sounds like a hard thing to achieve, but it turns out people are quite happy to do so. "I may have seen it, but it's still fake!" It's like watching sheep shear themselves.
Democrats used to brand themselves as big government lovers...
Actually, no. You decided to listen to those who espoused that line of agitprop. But just because you internalized your propaganda doesn't make it true.
"Second in the broadcast network competition to talk to Sarah Palin: Katie Couric. The CBS anchor will spend two days on the road with the Republican vice presidential candidate
which doesn't mean couric conducted a 48hour interview with palin. from that snippet we have no idea of how much recorded interview footage there actually was.
This is just another hatchet job by another left wing media source. Im not saying Trump wasnt BS'ng the guy but the interviewer was constantly trying to trip him up. He implied he was a "salesman" in the first 5 mins.

If you don't like seeing Trump interviewed by legitimate journalists you should stick with Hannity: "Isn't it true that you're the greatest president in the history of the world?".

I sometimes wonder if Americans have forgotten what journalism looks like.
I do give the HBO interviewer credit for coming off as humble and genuine rather than smug and fake. Good on him. HBO could have gone down the hole of attacking Trump or making him look bad... I'm glad to see HBO maintain high quality.
Exactly. It's good to see that Fox News and HBO still has good journalists. America often forgets what journalism looks like.
Discussing about the pandemic where people are dying yet he is making sure people know how many people showed up in his rallywhat a moron!
