I am reliably informed - on this very board, no less - that Sean Hannity is a commentator and how it's totes unfair to hold him up to journalist standards.

The interview wasn't "fake" in any way. Compared to what other first-world politicians deal with, it was a gentle caress. Trump simply flubbed the mission. And you're doing everything in your power to not address that.

i actually thought showing the signs on the WH fence, the mask notice on the door and the presidential seal was a great idea. it succinctly and visually acknowledged current events and the gravitas of the interview.

Why should Biden do anything different than he is currently doing? Might as well let Trump have center stage to keep doing things like these interviews. As far as why Trump keeps doing these train-wreck interviews, who knows. It has to drive his campaign people crazy. When a President of the United States makes the comment "It is what it is" referring to the death of 1000+ fellow Americans every day, they must just put their heads in their hands and cry. Could you imagine George W Bush standing on the debris of the twin towers and saying the inspirational words "It is what it is"?

I was appalled by it, he might not have meant it, but the way it came out was very cold and callous. I have never heard a President talk about the death of thousands of Americans like that, imagine if George Bush had stood outside the wreckage of the World Trade Center and said "it is what it is"
