I am reliably informed - on this very board, no less - that Sean Hannity is a commentator and how it's totes unfair to hold him up to journalist standards.

But I can see we're going for the both sides are bad narrative.

The interview wasn't "fake" in any way. Compared to what other first-world politicians deal with, it was a gentle caress. Trump simply flubbed the mission. And you're doing everything in your power to not address that.

He did in fact do so badly, he has me agreeing with - of all people - Piers Morgan. And that is something I will have a hard time forgiving him for.

What about Biden's recent comments? Like I said those are wayyyyyy worse.

He is obviously a glaring racist. You want that as your President? People aren't black unless they vote for him, remember.

Would CNN ever press him with tough questions like Fox just did with Trump? No.

Unlike you people I don't think Trump is trying to destroy my country and life, so when I watch him speak he think mostly does a good job. And I give him credit for doing interviews with these outlets like HBO which are BS.
Really? Trump calling out cities in America? Calling neo- nazi white supremacists 'fine people'? Bwaaaa-haaa!!

Jim Jones would've loved you. I'm going to stop right there because obviously you have bent a rod.

i actually thought showing the signs on the WH fence, the mask notice on the door and the presidential seal was a great idea. it succinctly and visually acknowledged current events and the gravitas of the interview.

And this is exactly why the attacks on China have been ramping up.
The US is trying very hard to cling onto its hegemony so clearly what needs to be done is to demonize everything China since they are the only credible threat.

Once the yuan proves its chops by becoming successful as a reserve currency?

Trump doesn't shy away from anything, he takes questions. He gives press conferences. He's out there.

I said plainly I wasn't here to defend Fox News but check what number 1 Primetime cable news show is, and check by how much. Fox wipes the floor with the rest.

Nobody, I sure don't care what you or the people who hate Trump think about it. No matter what that man does he will be chastised. For example, you're taking the "it is what it is" out of context. Did you forget the "but we are doing everything we can" phrase right after?

According to you people, shutting down China was a racist move. So you can't have cake and eat it too, who's the one who is wrong here? Trump mentioned CV as a threat in his early Feb SOTU which Nancy tore up. Then she had a Chinatown party a month later.

No matter, and I really don't care. Nobody is going to change their mind on here. But lordy I can't wait to see these boards on election night!

And about Hannity, all I said was the equivalent of that HBO interview, but reversed, would be Joe Biden dropped into a room with Hannity. But that would never ever happen because he's not held to the same standards.

Also crickets from you people on Biden's interview when he said blacks aren't diverse and then he said are like monoliths. He's just the gift that keeps on giving. That's a trillion times worse than anything you all would claim is something awful Trump would say.

Every race is incredibly diverse. And the monolith comment?
Why should Biden do anything different than he is currently doing? Might as well let Trump have center stage to keep doing things like these interviews. Trump's ego pushes him to always be in front of a camera, even when the results are so often not good. Trump can't figure out that he is his own worst enemy.

I don't hate Trump. I just think that he is a lousy president (not a great human being either). I'm not a big fan of Biden, but I feel he would be much better. I would be very happy if we were looking at the reelection of President John Kasich or Jeb Bush this year instead of Donald Trump

As far as why Trump keeps doing these train-wreck interviews, who knows. It has to drive his campaign people crazy. When a President of the United States makes the comment "It is what it is" referring to the death of 1000+ fellow Americans every day, they must just put their heads in their hands and cry. Could you imagine George W Bush standing on the debris of the twin towers and saying the inspirational words "It is what it is"?

Trump just does not have it in his DNA to be a leader.
To be honest, the ”it is what it is” comment was not the worst response of his in the video. His point was that he’s acknowledging that people are dying from the virus which is true. He’s just not an eloquent speaker and it was a bad choice of words. this should not come as a surprise to anyone.

I was appalled by it, he might not have meant it, but the way it came out was very cold and callous. I have never heard a President talk about the death of thousands of Americans like that, imagine if George Bush had stood outside the wreckage of the World Trade Center and said "it is what it is"

I thought the author of The Art of the Deal would be able to easily manhandle a no name wannabe big shot like Swan. Should’ve been like a pro All star athlete demolishing a JV bench warmer.
