Trump showed some disappointment when he was elected, for he would have to give up his wheeling and dealing which he loves the most, building more and more Trump Hotels around the world. He was on the edge of building a Trump Moscow and then he was elected.
When he leaves in January, he'll take off where he left off and expand his business empire along with Ivanka, Donald, Jr. and Eric. He'll enjoy it a lot more than being President.
I actually think he'd like to call it quits, but perhaps his children are urging him to stay in the race.
When Trump is forcibly extracted from the White House by U.S. Marshalls in January what's left of his business "empire" will collapse like a house of cards. Many of his properties are already losing money and no bank will lend to him. His sons Donnie Jr. and Eric are even stupider than he is, son-in-law and boy genius Jared Kushner will have legal and financial problems of his own, and Ivanka...well, she is what she is. Plus no one will want to stay in a hotel with the name of a disgraced former president on the front of the building.

Problem is the vast majority don't have the financial means to do so and there's zero motivation on Trump's part to accommodate the poors. What really won't help is the loss of business from those staying at a Trump property because it helps their lobbying efforts. Losing delegation after delegation with multiple floors booked at top dollar is going to sting.
