The threat of possibly having unwittingly made a purchase with a supposedly fake bill that is not in evidence? Obviously that requires an extrajudicial long painful tortuous public execution. Mr Floyd was overcome with fear to the point of panic because he like all blacks knew what might happen to them at the hands of the police. Turns out his fear was accurate.

Threat means resisting arrest.

I still didn’t see anything that suggested a knee on his neck was necessary. If anything they should have called an ambulance once cuffed.

You can forgive Floyd for thinking the clerk wasn’t going to call the police for fake money, but not for thinking you can resist your way out of an arrest. Why? Because he’s spent decades behind bars.

If “I can’t breath, I’m claustrophobic” got suspects out of an arrest, everyone would say it. He didn’t seem to be claustrophobic in his own SUV before the arrest.

Can I rob you then claim I’m too claustrophobic to get arrested? No.
Cops hear all sorts of nonsense from criminals they are arresting, so when Floyd had already used the I can’t breath tactic it had less meaning later on. Floyd’s life and death were tragic. He probably had a lot to offer the world if he had made different decisions with his life.

As an aside, there a people on social media claiming the clerk never should have called on him to begin with? Really? It’s quite possible that was a minority owned business Floyd was hurting by passing fake money. Law and order is fundamentally necessary for a civil society. We can’t allow the thinking to shift even more than it has to let criminals do their thing.

Please. He was fearful because he had just passed fake money, had multiple drugs in his system (behind the wheel of a car no less), and was in the middle of what looked like a drug deal.

There are no saints in this story. George Floyd was a brain-dead tweaker and probably a net waste for society to have him around. He was big enough, with enough muscles, to get some brain-dead Black girls pregnant. But too stupid to get his life on track for his kids.

The cops showed incredibly disregard for human life. Especially Chauvin. When someone is cuffed, they're in your protection. Placing your knee on your neck is not warranted in that case.

I have no problems seeing Chauvin go down for something and the others can walk.

Why on earth would they have called an ambulance, because he was unhappy he got caught being a criminal? Yeah, the answer to stopping crime is to give everyone a certificate of achievement.

Exactly, and if you look at Chauvin, he is not putting his whole weight on his knee. He should have been more situationally aware to realize when Floyd was truly in trouble, but Floyd asked to be placed on the ground. The officer gave him what he wanted.

Yes. The information was out there but the media pushed their agenda hard.

All we got from the media was the knee on the neck and terrible commentary, sparking riots and murder. The despicable media has all kinds of blood on their hands over the years.
