The objection from the liberals will be that it is much more crowded on Election DAY than a typical day at the store. The obvious answer is to spread out voting to three days, Mon thru Wed, with results reported Thursday.
They could divide it by last name, first/second/third parts of the alphabet.
Common sense. They aren't saying anything like you're saying.
What every credible public health official is saying is try to minimize contact. For food and hardware, which you generally actually need, you can:
-Do it in person and mask and social distance, but it's a risk
-To be safe, you can almost always use contact-minimizing means (curbside pickup or delivery).
Voting is the same:
-Minimize contact. Mask and social distance as much as possible, but it's a risk.
-To be safe, you can use contact-minimizing means. That's where your logic fails. The President is attacking mail-in balloting. If you can't mail in and you don't want to risk going in person safely, what are your options?

I can see the conflicts now when voters show up without a mask or any concern to adhere to best practices in consideration of others. I am sure people will threaten law suit, deprivation of their rights or whatever leftist comments that usually get spewed if they are prohibited from entering or handed and required to be masked...
All because this simple act is too much to adhere to out of concern for others and you wonder why people are choosing to vote by mail rather than go stand in line....

The obvious answer is this isn't possible and Trump can't magically wave his orange wand to change the date, not to mention is extremely unconstitutional. I'm not sure why right wingers hate the constitution so much, but they sure do.

Simple solution. Someone posted at the entrance handing out masks to those who don’t have them. If they refuse to put them on, they forfeit their right to vote.
Conversely, set up Polling booths outside. There’s such a thing as extension cords. In fact, that might be a good idea in general, so they people can wait outside if they prefer.

They could have an emergency session to make a one-time change to the Constitution, to allow for a three- day period due to the once-in-a-century virus situation. Dems wouldn’t go for it, though.
But I don’t understand. If 200 doctors signed on saying it was OK to gather by the hundreds of thousands, standing shoulder to shoulder, to protest, why can’t a few dozen people stand on line, spaced out ans wearing masks?
I’m not sure why left wingers hate logic so much, but they sure do.
