Speaking for Florida, you can expect a rise in cases when you reopen. It's common sense, unless we eliminate the virus, it will begin to spread faster when there are more person to person interactions. This is normal, this is fine.

Florida also got a lot of tourists from the midwest and east cast back in May and June when we were reopened and people up there for shut down. They came here to go to the beach, to resume normal life (bars etc). And with them came some cases of Covid-19.

Default Maine Gov. Janet Mills continues 'state of emergency'

Here in Maine, Governor Janet Mills--a Democrat and former prosecuting attorney, just like Kamala Harris--decreed another month of 'state of emergency' despite there being so few cases. Most have been in retirement/care facilities or with the people fleeing the liberal urban areas. Our state government has been suspended, and even the more liberal representatives and senators are frustrated and concerned. It is apparently at the order of liberals who think this killing of Maine's economic and social structures (schools, cultural organizations, vacation rentals, many small businesses have been decimated) will assure that Trump is defeated in November. Perhaps they have been promised a nice chunk of cash if they continue this shutdown.

The news sources here in Maine have been giving Janet Mills the gentlest of treatment. Mills is rarely mentioned, and they do not question her judgment or ask any questions that are even remotely challenging. If anyone doubts that this is an orchestrated shutdown done by Democrats, simply look at what continues to happen up here in Maine with the out-of-state money pouring in to defeat Senator Susan Collins.

Freedoms in the United States will drastically dwindle if Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win in November.

If New England smells like a rose, then NY smells like a turd.
