Wouldn't want to irritate your particular customer base now.

Maybe because a good portion of people who shop at those types of stores can't afford to buy PPE? Not sure, but maybe they got that feedback from the customers.

Not everyone is buying PPE. Some people tie a bandana around their nose and mouth.

I think some retailers are doing this so their employees aren't put in a position of telling customers they cannot enter without a mask. Seeing how easily triggered some people are - they're probably trying to keep their staff safe.

Based on observation, a lot of non-mask wearers.

I do a fair amount of shopping at a Dollar General, when at home. Primarily out of convenience. It's 1 mile up the road. Roughly 21 miles to nearest WallyWorld. Mask wearing at the DG is about 50/50. Mask wearing at WallyWorld is mandatory, my observation puts it at about 85%, many employees not wearing, or have masks pulled down around neck.

To date there has NEVER been any reported cases of rona in my zip code.......

Go figure.

It's the best they can do. Only require masks in stores where local ordinance says to wear masks outside in public.
