Trump needs to send federal troops in and end this with extreme prejudice if he wants to win the election. All he does is complain and blame it on Democrats but does nothing.
The persistent issue in Chicago is shootings, not chronic looting.
Most shootings are gang related and substantially predates this civil unrest by decades. No amount of troops will stop gangs from shooting each other. Unfortunately, there are instances of misidentification or shots missing the target and hitting bystanders. The family’s, including young children of gang members are particularily vulnerable.
80% of the shootings happen on 8% of the blocks. Witnesses don’t come forward, despite rewards. They protect their family members or are afraid of gang retaliation. These communities protect the shooters.
The headline in your article reads "Looting and Rioting Breaks Out in Chicago After Police Shooting" and you pretend someone argues they are just protests. Its weird. What is your point?

Chicago is clearly one of the most dangerous cities in this country for murders and violent crimes. St Louis appears to be the worst by far, Baltimore, Detroit and New Orleans are worse than Chicago. But Chicago is right up there.
Apparently, this looting is in response to a police-involved shooting that occurred Sunday in the Englewood neighborhood. The suspect actually shot first, then multiple cops shot back and hit him. No one has died.
Initially, someone started a rumor in the neighborhood that it was a child that the cops shot.
And then social media took over.
But rest assurred, before they looted the Gucci and Apple stores downtown, they looted near their own homes first.

Lightfoot definitely condemened them - and then never corrected herself when the truth came out.
How many times must it be repeated that they were told to go to Rush's office to protect it and to make themselves at home? THAT never should have happened but the cops were simply doing what they were told to do.
Chicago is a big city. This isn’t massive city wide terror.
