Yeah, those "couple of areas" extend from Roosevelt to Oak Street, from Michigan to La Salle -- in other words, the area that generates about 60% of the revenue for the entire city. But don't worry, it's only "a coule of areas and the majority of the city is untouched."

Well guess what, now they're looting in Garfield Park.

Those who say that looting and "peaceful protests" are separate are not connecting the dots.

The criminal looters and left wing agitators have a symbiotic relationship where each exploits the other with parallel agendas and a common goal.

Step One: Instigate anti-police, anti-law and order sentiment through propaganda (ex. "gangster rap)

Step Two: Foment "outrage" with false and/or one-sided media stories, edited videos etc.

Step Three: Prod city mayors, councils etc. onto the bandwagon and promote legislation to enable criminals ( decriminalization, no bail laws, "restorative justice" etc.)

Step Four: Tie the hands of the police with court orders from left wing judges, stand down orders from city hall.

Step Five: Commence looting.

now Evergreen Park shopping mall is closing today because of the intel that rioters might be heading their way.

the rioters are spreading out to the various neighborhoods.. its not all one tiny area.

and don't forget there are people that live all over the city and Indiana that work in these areas, now their lives are being gravely affected.

If these areas shut down forever there goes shopping and resources for people who need the stores.

This mess is happening in mostly liberal run cities because there are no legal consequences. Catch/release. Place blame where it belongs, local leaders!
It’s a county and state issue. The mayor is very clear calling out judges and the state prosecutor who have created a revolving door for criminals.

County jails tend to operate at capacity this time of year. Average incarceration costs are middle of the road compared to most states. Big cities have more everything, people, opportunity , crime, Etc.

In the current environment, every new “ guest” has to be presumed to be Covid positive and isolated. The county and state are responsible for the safety, feeding, medical care of all prisoners.

Everyone wants a jury trial so the state agrees to plea deals to save time and money. or when crimes are not violent, dismiss the case.

CPD arrested 3000 in conjunction with looting and property damage during the Geo Floyd thing. Most were released. It’s a revolving door. No consequences. Rinse/ repeat.

Your mother may have done a great job but that is just one example. There are so many fatherless homes. Among the black community is almost half, 50%, of households without a father. Half!

Girls from fatherless homes are 7 times more likely to get teen pregnancy. SEVEN!
Both males and females from fatherless homes are far more likely to commit a serious crime, I think when it comes to violent crime it is like 5 times more, this is off the top of my head.
90% of teen runaways are from......you guessed it fatherless homes.
70% of high school dropouts are from, you know.
70% of youth criminals are from fatherless homes.

Either they are liberal chitholes or they are not. They are ran by liberals and they generate 85% of US economic output. Get used to the facts. If the claim was true that liberals ruin everything they touch, then these places would not generate 85% of our economic output.

You are right, I was talking to Cape Cod Todd before you inserted yourself into the picture. CCT said it, not you. Of course many others are saying the same thing. BlakeJones and MPowering1to name a few. Not very honest, but they are Trump apologists, so it is to be expected.

They aren’t letting anyone enter the city right now. The touristy parts are completely destroyed. Of the 100ish people arrested 90 were released! The people looting and destroying weren’t concerned at all with consequences some were even filming themselves and posting it on social media. Unbelievable lack of leadership in Chicago.
