Straight forward, do you trust the mainstream media in their coverage of protests and riots to not spin to push an agenda?

Spread of Covid from protests vs conservative gatherings?

Peaceful protest or riots?

Election consequences?

It seems like on the ground alternative media captures videos that counter media narratives.

I trust that they will put their spin on it in an effort to manipulate their viewers.

They obviously can't be trusted reporting on COVID and the riots.

They are drawn to the violence. Covering the peaceful side is boring tv. Which has people thinking the rioters make up the majority.

Of course not, not when they have a reporter out there and they say (paraphrased) they are not to bad tonight, as a guy set's a business on fire.....

I'll see if I can find the video.

ETA: Here is what he said...."“I want to be clear on how I characterize this. This is mostly a protest. It is not generally speaking unruly. But fires have been started," Velshi said. As the building burn behind him....

To cover them.... as "protests".

Especially when they aren't just "protests".

It's pretty much like this satirical video:

But basically, I fact check by going to primary sources like the Twitter feeds of mayors, police, or people on the scene, and then cross check. I don't really trust the news.

Checked the news this morning, and they were talking about the looting and vandalism in Chicago. You think they made it up?
