Masks and Social Distancing Don't Apply to Top Dems

Watching TV this afternoon and saw a video clip of Biden and Harris greeting well wishers on the announcement of the VP pick. The first thing I saw was a warm hug/embrace between Biden and Harris, and Biden then kissing Harris on the cheek if not directly on her lips.

Then, the next thing I saw was a long line of people coming up to shake hands with Biden and Harris while the spouses stood shoulder to shoulder just behind Biden and Harris. I didn't see a single face mask in the crowd. People were standing shoulder to shoulder. In fact, Harris' spouse had to squeeze his way in between two other people forcefully while one after another well-wisher came up and shook hands with Biden.

Question: What happened to all this "face mask" and "social distancing" and "avoiding hand shaking" that the Dems have been so adamant about? Or does that only apply when the Dems want to criticize the Republicans? A short while later I watched some of Trump's news conference and everyone was spaced at least 6 feet apart and everyone except Trump had on a face mask. Maybe it's only the Republicans who can catch this Covid-19????

And we have a new, dark-horse candidate for worst Kamala Harris "take down..." Illogical, factually wrong, and irrelevant.

My apologies to all. Apparently what I saw was a tape of a previous swearing in ceremony involving Biden and Harris. I wasn't aware that it was something that was several years old.

Honest mistake since I just walked in the room when that clip was showing. I assumed they were celebrating the recent VP announcement. Sorry about that.
