Is this the hill you liberals really want to die on? This thread is going to age horribly.

And $9M net worth is not that much in the Democratic states. You may picture that person living large in a Gatsby like mansion, but in reality it's probably a standard three bedroom house. That person with $9M networth from a blue state is still perfectly in tune with the middle class because $9M is middle class out here.

Please don't put words in my mouth you don't know what I picture but also you don't seem to know what you are talking about.

You seemed to not understand the previous post that I was responding to, they were saying that Millionaires/Billionaires and Corporate types were all pushing the Republican right and the Dems were going to counter that - the only problem is that these are the types that control the Democratic party as much and maybe more than the Republican party. And could not trust anyone in the 1%. Only problem is even the Dem candidates are in the 1%.

You figures on the Dem Pres and VP candidates being middle class shows you really don't understand what is middle class. To have $9M puts them just short of the top 1% of net worth in the US ($10M), NOT middle class by any definition. Having a $2M income puts them well above the top 1% ($330K/yr is top 1%) earnings in the US again, nowhere near middle class in any state. Sounds like you are saying that being in CA even though top 1% puts them in middle class, a state with 12% of the nations population - what BS - the 75th percentile salary in CA is $112K - that is what is the middle class.

I live in a very Democratic state (CA), grew up middle class and spent 30 years in the Military. I have about 3/4 as much as Biden and Harris in Net Worth but I never earned anywhere near $2M in a year. My house is not a standard 3 BR house (I have one in CA and one in NV), and theirs are not either. Kamala has several houses worth approximately $8M in total - one is in Brentwood, one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in CA -worth about $5M, the one in DC worth about $2M and an apt in SF worth about $1M. Biden has 2 homes in DE, one is 6850 sq ft and the other is 4800 sqft - note none of these are standard 3 br houses.

When he got the nomination in 2016, I didn’t think he would win, but I thought to myself at that time that if he did win he would be the last ever Republican President. I don’t remember if I posted that thought to City Data or not.
Oh, so he changed parties twenty years ago. Do you happen to know why he switched parties? I ask only because the parties have changed so much in recent years. I don't even recognize either of them any longer. The right is too far right and the left is too far left. I identify as an Independent but I can't seem to get behind anything either of them say. Not sure where I belong in the stew.

Someday Texas will flip Democrat. Not soon, but someday. That will mark the last Republican president, but also the end of Republican majorities in the US House and Senate. We will become a one-party socialist nation.

After a run of ever more Marxist Democrats for however long the run lasts, one of two things will happen. Either a voter revolt will create a new party to successfully challenge the Democrats, or the Democrats will simply void the US Constitution and say, "so what are you going to do about it?" People being peope, with too much to lose, will complain and do nothing. That will begin the final move toward Socialist totalitarian dictatorship.

I have not clue how long any of this will take, I only know it is going to happen and it is coming sooner than I ever thought possible.

This is also coming to a European nation near you. This is hardly unique to America. Every western nation is successfully under assault from successful socialist attacks that are going to flip them from democracies to dictatorships.

There isn't enough Millionaires/Billionaires/Corporate executives to stop the swing left
I can see by your comments there is no light within you.. Totally dark, any redeeming qualities are probably gone as well. What you Liberals do not understand is the indoctrination for most of you is complete. Blue pilled to the edge of insanity. Does the left really think the mass silent majority is just going to sit camly by and allow the Communist Democrats to finish destroying our country? You might want to consider that again.

Well that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Now Ill tell you why your opinion is flawed. The 2 major parties are 2 heads on the same beast. They play good cop bad cop. They keep us divided for a reason and it isn't to make us a better country. It is too maintain the status quo.

They know that people get tired of being lied to. They know that eventually the pendulum with swing.

8 years of Clinton selling out the Middle class, followed by 8 years of GWB doing the same, followed by Obama and his circus of lies resulted in Trump.

This is the natural progression of our 2 parties.

To the contrary, several European nations have recently changed from democracies, to developing right-wing dictatorships. But I think those regimes will wither and disappear, after Trump has fallen.

I don't even know how to respond to such a completely and utterly ridiculous statement.
