I had lunch with a couple of non political friends the other day and one made some anti Trump comment and the others nodded in agreement until I said "hey, don't dis my President". I was asked to repeat myself so I did, then one gal said how "her friends" liked Trumps economy and another said she couldn't vote Dem because she didn't want Socialism or Marxism gaining more power here. It only took me speaking up for the others to speak up too.
The one who started it, the one with TDS, always is the one who starts it and always is the one who says "I don't want to talk about politics" when it turns against her. In a non related convo she told me she couldn't cut the cord because she needed her CNN...that tells me all I need to know.
I suppose it depends on where you live. Where I am right now, I see Trump signs on every other lawn and trucks going to down the road with Trump and confederate flags. There seems to be no shame about it. I would be very worried about having my house shot at or my car vandalized if I put a Biden/Harris sign out front, though.
I went back home to Eastern PA for a visit. In my old suburban middle class neighborhood, full of working professional people with well kept homes, there was about one Biden sign for every ten of Trump. Not only that, but Trump flags and banners. I guess because they are harder to remove than a lawn sign.
Here in Western PA, there's about one Biden sign for every twenty Trump signs. I have a t-shirt that says, "Hell Yeah I Voted for Trump and Will Do It Again", and wear it without fear of repercussions.

It is communism. If one speaks out against the communist government they will jail you. The people of the communist nations fear of speaking out and the government rules completely . One way. You have no free speech. No opinion, no free thinkers. This is the left. They are the marxist communists today. They are now pushing it on the trump supporters. We see trump supporters murdered, beaten up , chastised, mocked, ganged up on and smeared.
Democrats think that attacks on free speech are just fine as long as they don't come from Government.
And they do their fair share of trying to get around that too, with things like "hate speech" laws.
If you actually understood what you read, you would see that there was ZERO collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians.
You would see what the Russians want to do is divide us. They have no better agent for that than Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats who are trying to undermine faith in government and elections.
You would also see that the Russians helped promote Sanders rallies AND some Hillary rallies in addition to Trump rallies. Whatever could divide us. And the Democrats are doing their job for them better than Putin could have possibly imagined. The Democrats are Putin's useful idiots.

They know that our strength traditionally lays in our unity and love for each other and our country.

Yep, I was just in Southwestern Pa about 2 weeks ago and saw the exact same thing you saw, the flags, bumper stickers, signs etc. Saw ONE home made Biden sign that was it.

Why would someone be intimidated to answer an anonymous poll done over the phone. Random anecdotes are not an accurate way of judging popularity. Moderates determine elections and they rarely wear support on their sleeve or display signs.

But yeah, Trump has a huge, silent following.
It's not silent. I live in NY and my neighbor has a huge Trump flag. Nothing silent about that. All my neighbors love Trump. Whats silent about that? If anything older Biden voters are silent. It's the youth who are antitrump and they don care who knows it. This will be a hard fought election. I predict Trump will win unless blacks come out in mass like they did for obama. If that happens we will steamroll the senate as well. 2018 midterms are an example.
It isn’t government doing it, but the mobs. It’s just like it isn’t the government shutting down speech these days, it’s the media and the mobs. We have people in this country who do feel they have lost their 1st Amendment right to Free Speech and while its not the government doing it, it is just as effective in silencing people, if not more so.
I assume you are not someone with political beliefs that are targeted right now. It is not a good place to be. I know people who are terrified, and I mean that word literally, that certain people will find out how they are going to vote and they will be retaliated against. In the black community, in particular, God help you if you say anything to indicate you might vote for Trump.
The totalitarian left reminds me of fascist Italy of the 1930s. My mother was a little girl at that time in Italy and the stories she would tell her children of life then is very similar. You didn't dare tell someone you supported the opposing party or candidate or you would find yourself made an example of, boycotted, without a job, physically assaulted, spat on and isolated.
