I say her sentence should be commuted

A woman who escaped from a Detroit prison 32 years ago has been arrested in San Diego, where she was married with three children and living under a false name, authorities said.

Susan LeFevre, who had been using the name Marie Walsh, was arrested April 24 by federal marshals at her home in the posh Carmel Valley neighborhood of San Diego. An anonymous caller tipped Michigan officials to her location.

How many crimes did she commit in order to cover up the original crime?

She was probably convicted of possessing that evil substance marijuana, and never should have been serving time in the first place...She has some busy body to thank for her predicament now....No matter what drug offense it was though I think has served her time and should be released.

Served her time? She spent a year out of a 10 year sentence, then bolted (which is another crime) and assumed another identity (which I'm sure is ANOTHER crime). But she should be let go because...why again?

the difference between marie and a lot of people typing on public forums is she got caught. she already said why she escaped, they promised her probation on a plea bargain but then sent her up for 10 years. i don't advocate breaking the law but that is her story on KNUS last night. something for a court or parole board to detemine, not here on CD forum.

That happens on a regular basis in the courts. Should every criminal that got screwed by their attorneys escape? The jails would be all but empty.

Everybody that supports keeping drugs illegal are making violent gangs and the government rich off the misery of others.

More death is being caused by a blackmarket than would drugs be legal. And money is being spent on many who are non violent to jail them on drug charges while violent gangs who do kill people continues to thrive by a black market drug trade.Kind of defeats the purpose I think.

To bad most people are conditioned to think "bad" so "ban it".They don't want to think about the long term consequences just like America doesn't think about the long term blowback from getting too involved in foreign affairs.
