Please explain to me how that is not violence.
The violator of this legislation is a company, not a person, so good luck making the case that they're in danger of being killed for noncompliance.

And just so we're on the same page, is your position that the govt should not be able to commit violence against citizens?

Nope. Nobody should use the government to commit violence against peaceful people.

And your definition of "violence" is enforcing the law?

How do you enforce the law without violence?

Government is violence, period (or the threat thereof). Everything government does is by compelling people to do things or preventing them from doing others. There is nothing voluntary about it.

You may argue that some goals, laws, or policies are just, but you cannot deny that violence is the means by which they are accomplished.

Even poor people pay taxes; sales, gas and real estate taxes. I am more concerned with the very, very wealthy paying their fair share.

They are:

"In 2016, the top 1 percent of taxpayers accounted for more income taxes paid than the bottom 90 percent combined. The top 1 percent of taxpayers paid roughly $538 billion, or 37.3 percent of all income taxes, while the bottom 90 percent paid about $440 billion, or 30.5 percent of all income taxes."

I like the idea of a national sales tax, with certain necessity categories exempted or taxed at a reduced rate (medicine/health, grocery staples, etc). That way you can do whatever creative accounting you want, but you can't actually use the money without paying taxes.

so what you are saying is YOUR WORD..YOUR BOND is just crap

you entered a contract to get a loan for the college degree YOU CHOSE... they we nice enough to contract you that loan... your word, your bond says you are responsible to pay it back....

so what you are showing everyone (to include your kids) is that your word means nothing, your bond means nothing, and that you have zero morals or ethics
