Scotus already made it clear that cops don't HAVE to enforce any law. So something being on the books isn't an automatic reason for cops to do something. If you seriously feel those drivers are having their rights violated, start a campaign to get those protestors arrested. See where it takes you

A lot of people have managed to be patient with these protestors in front of their cars, which logically would include mama bears, papa bears, and granny bears. If all those people were able to carry on their lives without attempting to run over people, then that's not an absurd standard.
Sorry. I'm from the CRM school of civil disobedience. Sit-ins, lay-ins, human chains, blocking roads, etc.
And this nation was founded in those same principles of civil disobedience unless you want to start describing colonial tax protests and tea parties as mob action that should have been cracked down on by the British...
So no. We can't agree that protests should only happen where the agency you're protesting gives you permission to complain.
Then we differ bc I was all for the spring time protests the Right was doing bc that made it fair for the Left to do the same when the time came. Sane when they tried to organize the trucking showdown on DC. Civil disobedience functions the way it does for a reason.

Nope. This is lawlessness for its own sake. These are not principled protests any longer. We are witnessing wanton chaos and destruction... by nihilists...not patriots or civil rights protesters. They want to burn this system down. They've said as much.
Only a question of time before we see these protesting, looting, and rioting thugs get attacked back. Any day now I'm expecting to see a full-on response against these thugs.

What protestors didn't want to "burn the system down?". That's the whole point of protesting! You're not some arbiter of legitimate protesting. It's not your place to say who has a valid accusation that "counts."
Many many people consider this a valid exercise of a constitutional right. Protecting that right trumps the inconvenience that some drivers experience. And if you asked the Founding Fathers, they'd say the same thing.
