He didn't play us. People like yourself are the ones who buy the magical thinking.

He wasn’t being facetious. He was just being the idiot he is.

He wasn’t being facetious. He used the cloak of levity to float the notion and see what folks thought about it.

Trump is NEVER being facetious. He means everything he says.

Just like his talking about delaying the election...he meant that too. And it had nothing to do with wanting to have a clean election so don’t even tell me that lie as a retort.

I’m afraid nobody is buying the stable genius theory. He’s in deeply over his head. He knows it. Unfortunately most of his supporters can’t see what’s in front of them.

His comment about a third term is kind of a ‘ha ha only serious’ moment. Did he mean it? On the surface, no, or at least to the point of plausible deniability. In all likelihood he’s too stupid to even fully think through why he keeps ‘jokingly’ saying things like this. His subconscious is driving it and he’s floating it because deep down he would like to see if there’s too much pushback to proceed. That’s not cunning or plotting, that’s just his narcissism and toxicity at work. He mistakenly believes that ‘I’m so awesome I should be President for life!’.

When Trump said the pandemic would be over by April, "like a miracle", he was serious as a heart attack. And did you notice during the presser where he was praising the crazy woman Stella Immanuel, as soon as a reporter pointed out that Immanuel believed "alien DNA" was effective medicine he made a hasty exit while muttering that he didn't "know anything about her". Now that was funny. And since you didn't answer the question I'll bet that you're a QAnon follower.

So he's been successful with you, making yourself sound like a complete idiot.

As has been said, conservatives take President Trump seriously, but not figuratively. Liberals take him figuratively but not seriously. Liberals seem to have lost the ability to have a sense of humor.

He may not be dumb but he is a dangerous Narcissist that cares little to nothing for the average American.
"just leave it there" all you want. It's hilarious frankly since I already made the point.

"People like you" believe he said some white supremacists were good people.
"People like you" believe he said all immigrants are murderers and rapists.
"People like you" believe he personally ordered kids in cages and Obama never did the same thing.
"People like you" believe he said drink bleach.
"People like you" believe he said he'd run for a 3rd term.

At some point, you're going to have to consider "What is causing me to believe these things, since none of them happened?"

It's OK to admit you've been in a blind hate since.... that bus tape got released; he won the election; he nominated Gorsuch; he nominated Kavanaugh; he got the tax relief that dropped - as a % - the taxes of low and middle-income people more than rich people; pick any event you want.

But it is absolutely blind hate and CONFIRMATION BIAS that creates ~80% of your problems.

Nah. Presidents aren't selected into office to be humorists or joke around. Or to troll people they don't like or oppose.

The main person who sounds like a complete idiot is Trump. Nobody has to prompt him to it and he can't blame the media - it comes straight from his mouth.

We get it that you seem to approve of Trump's erratic behavior but that says quite a bit about your values than of others you elect to deride.

I laugh when something is funny. I don’t laugh at dangerous stupidity.

Could very well be that mid way through his second term, he will see if he can get rolling on an amendment to the constitution to repeal the clause regarding presidential terms in office.
If by then the economy is doing well, the covid 19 is behind us, and a fair health plan is enacted, he just might have the votes to amend the constitution.

Never say never to anything, especially when it seems preposterous.
