Hopefully these people face serious criminal charges for what happened to this man, the most recent victim of the Civil War:

https://www.pilotonline.com/news/vp-...cmm-story.html

“"...He’s always willing to help — that’s exactly what happened when he did get hurt. He was trying to help — trying to move people out of the way, knowing that the statue was going to come down,” said Green’s wife, Tonieh Brisbane-Green....

Last month, he was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital where he’s relearning skills such as walking and talking.

Brisbane-Green said in a Tuesday afternoon phone call that her husband is aware of his surroundings and can recognize his family, including his two sons. She said he was also able to recognize about 75% of the items rehabilitators asked him to grab.

Green is communicating non-verbally and is still unable to speak...."

We have a Confederate statue in Morganton, the base lists the names of those in Burke County killed during the civil war. When the current rounds of protests manifested here it was via a crowd of 30-40 peacefully singing about equality. About 2 weeks in, about 150 showed up threatening vandalism, luckily it did not occur. An investigation was held and found that 100 we're bussed in from Charlotte, the rest from Columbia, NONE of the agitators we're local. I told my liberal Democrat friends from PA about it and they were outraged, they like the statue and took many pics of them standing by it.

They are state crimes as charged, not federal.
