A Washington state man who has been arrested four times and quickly bailed out within a month at violent Portland Antifa riots, was arrested by federal authorities this week.
Following a Federal Bureau of Investigation investigation, 26-year-old Kristopher Michael Donnelly, of Kelso, Wash., was arrested and federally charged with felony civil disorder. The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon accuses him of assaulting a Portland Police officer. When Donnelly was arrested four times in August and booked into the local jail, he was either quickly bailed out or released by the county.

According to court records, when an officer attempted to arrest him, Donnelly used his elbow to forcefully strike the cop in the face. He continued to resist as several officers assisted in the arrest. Donnelly was eventually taken into custody for felony riot, felony criminal mischief, felony assault of a public safety officer, resisting arrest and other charges. He was held on a $5,000 bail, which was paid.
The move actually happened earlier this summer, when state troopers were brought in to help facilitate the departure of federal officers from downtown Portland, according to Gov. Kate Brown's deputy communications director. But the cross-deputization of OSP troopers could allow state police to bypass the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office entirely when it comes to charges against arrested protesters.

Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt has said he won't prosecute protesters arrested for lesser offenses, like interfering with a police officer or ignoring police orders to clear the streets. Schmidt released a single statement on Wednesday when asked by KGW if he had a response to the cross-deputization of OSP troopers.
"We continue to prioritize public safety resources in Multnomah County by focusing on the violent crimes occurring at protests and in our community, including the recent and alarming increase in gun violence this summer," Schmidt said.
In other words... last month, Trump sent the feds into Oregon not to battle the protesters - but to deputize the State Police to charge people federally - in order to get around the nincompoop state DA from releasing these criminals back into the streets.
It's insane how we need to jump thru hoops, just to bring justice to combat 100 days of violence, looting and murder, because the Democrats are supporting the people doing the violence.
Sounds like what’s happening in Chicago. Kim Foxx is reluctant to charge and prosecute gun cases, so the Feds are beginning to do it.
The guy who would normally be given a low or signature bond, and have his gun charge reduced and accept probation in State court, is now looking at a no bail case with ten years in Federal court.

I'm OK with making it difficult for the government to infringe on freedom.
The problem is that the elected DA has been compromised to those against America. Their community really should be dealing with this. However, their whole local government is compromised. This is what the people voted for.
Soros has been targeting these DA races for a long time. Now it all makes sense.
Smart of Trump to handle it in this manner rather than break the law and send tanks in there.
