Killing jobs, not to mention the elimination of a very affordable transportation option used by millions of people.

That is in addition to the mobs.

Brought to you by the Democrat party of California.

Uber's argument is that they are a platform, not an employer. They claim that drivers are not core to their business. Duh, no drivers, no Uber. They claim all they do is bring together riders and drivers. Even a blind man on a galloping horse can see that is bogus.

They both still lose money on every ride. This is Taxi Union garbage corrupt legislation that hurts the public at large. They are taking away a cheap service, making life both harder and more expensive for people without vehicles.

Good. If anyone is using Independent Contractors it's Uber.

CA is wrong about this.

what a ****ing shame. Lots of people now depend on Uber and Lyft to get around in areas where public transportation is subpar.

As someone who lives in CA, this would be major inconvenience to me. But I still support them for standing up to the state.

Time to buy a bicycle, walk, use a bus, call a taxi or better yet buy a car like most people have in California.
