If Putin is found guilty without any doubt, put sanctions on him, but the Nord Stream 2 pipeline should be finished as planned.
ROFL - the Russian people were robbed of their assets following the collapse of Communism, and what was the Russian peoples was carved up by ruthless oligrachs, many of whom are personal friends of Putin, and many are also involved in organised crime circles.

In terms of relying on Russia gas, it doesn't matter if it's Russian companies or state controlled, Putin still calls the shots.

Despite the oligarchs, the Russian state gets a lot of money from the profits made by Gazprom etc. and uses it for normal state responsibilities.

The accusation of dependence on Russian oil and gas is odd. Much of Europe has obtained oil and gas from Russia for a long time and the Kremlin never stopped the shipments even in times of trouble, like during the Ukraine war, sanctions etc. Business is separate from politics. Russia may be a shady country in political terms, but it is an extremely reliable supplier in economic terms. Much more reliable than the US, by the way. There are no threats, no blackmail attempts, no sanctions etc. from the Russian side.

Except for "what was the Russian peoples" was carved by oligarchs when Putin was nowhere in sight.
This was accomplished with the help of the American "economic advisors" and Clintons.

(Then president Yeltsin was their puppet.)

99.99%

People in russian social network are joking, “Novichok is expired. The KGB officer forgot to close the can with substance and forgot to put it in the refrigerator”.
No kidding, this is a third attempt to poison Russian politicians which ends in a fiasco.

Man you people are out of it. How can any of you say, with a straight face, that the USSR was a paradise and that the people/serfs had any "assets" at all during the days of communism? If you can, you are either flat out lying or you are unable to read FIRST HAND ACCOUNTS OF THE TYPICAL CONDITIONS IN THE SOVIET UNION.

It's not about the "USSR being a paradise."

What we were talking about here, is that Russia had a lot of riches AS A STATE. ( All those huge government enterprises dealing mostly with the natural resources/ other heavy industry + communication industry/transportation and such.)

And THAT'S what was appropriated by the oligarchs first of all.
