I understand the attack against Netflix. But isn't this a French film using French actors, directed by a French woman of West African descent.
What does any of that have to do with Hollywood. I remember going to France scrolling through channels in my Hotel Room and their was just a full blown sex scene with everything out. I know French culture is much more open to the naked. In the same trip (I was a young teen/tween with my parents at the time), we went to a beach and I was playing in the sand and I looked to my left and realized the woman I had been playing next to didn't have a bra on. Nudist beach.
So clearly from those two experiences the French are far more lenient about what they show on TV so don't know how that could be blamed on Hollywood.

Netflix is considered Hollywood. Regardless of who or where a film is made, it needs distributors.

Nor can Hollywood be blamed, its whole purpose is to create entertainment that sells. Its not "normaliz8ng", its just responding to marketing data just like any industry. If we want to address anything, it would be addressing the market for content we find objectionable and then resolving that, rather than the provider.
And at the end of the day, do we really want to restrict entertainment to 'Once upon a Time to 'Happily ever after storyline without the brothers Grimm content between?
