Chance and Change sounds like a paid poster from the CCP. Pretty sure we have at least one of these on these boards. Anybody who says China did things right is either incredibly ignorant--or paid to post that. China is an example of what not to do, hiding the seriousness, jailing people who tell the truth, secret mass burials, letting the virus spread to other places. And its not like they aren't having it crop back up in places after killing 100,000 or so in Wuhan.
Nobody said a darn thing about China's Politics, other than YOU... I addressed the civility of the people who respect the science and cared enough about the lies of themselves and others to endure the challenges that were wrought in their lives during their work to contain the spread of the virus.
China as a nation spent and invested to not only spray down all public spaces, and if not for China, we'd still not have any PPE... even for our Medical Personnel

So, you can rail on about your disrespect for the people of China... yet they continue working producing what we need, because we can't do it ourselves, because we have an Imbecile at the helm of the nation and a brigade of belligerence heathers who can't respect what science teaches.

China has endured centuries of challenges from the brutality of occupiers, and certainly they will find their way to deal with the tyranny of the dictator they have at the helm. One thing they have done, is continue to build up their infrastructure where it functions for the people. They will emerge with the development of a leader that will embrace the human rights when and as they slowing work to do so, in ways that it does not turn 1.x Billion people loose on a wild greed driven rampage.
They understand the long game... where as we are as insidious as our fictions about the stock market, that can't deal with modest gains over time, they expect to break records by the day everyday, and all they do is destroy companies, peoples lives and make mockery of the Industrial and Business sectors of Society and damage the nation.

Making every decision based on what “scientists” say is just as dangerous as ignoring them completely. Scientists are humans with their own biases and funded by special interests. Trump has not done that anyway. In fact, nothing he has said about COVID has been completely outside science. Even the bleach thing, he did not suggest people drink bleach, he was wondering if something like that could be used to kill the virus in people. It’s not such a crazy idea. Imagine if people were not willing to ask similar questions about radiation, which is highly lethal. Now it is used in a controlled form to fight cancers.
The whole point of science is to have differences. That's how it moves forward. I keep hearing "Listen to the experts." Except when the experts disagree with the media, and then it is, tacitly, 'Listen to the media."

The virus has not knocked down a single building, and has not destoned the machinery within a single factor, and closed stores have the same merchandise they had before they closed... Not a grain of sand has been lost from the beaches that was not replenished by the rushing in of the continual tides.

They did it before their peak. So how in the world do the places with the earliest and most restrictive lockdowns have the highest rates? Can you or anyone answer that?
It's up to the governors of each state to take care of covid. The President can lend help but for the most part should stay out. Like FEMA taking PPEs and transferring them to hot spots. We already test more than any nation in the world.

Reading the comments tells the truth of why and what drove American to engage in Centuries of the Savagery of Slavery...
The truly sad thing is the mentality of those types who backed and supported the savagery of slavery... still spew their inhumanity in their attacks against the civic responsibility of having respect for others and society, to "shelter in place" , wear and mask and forgo the vanity and heathen desperation to mass gather to party.
These types secure the downfall of America... But the better thing or only thing that comes out of the exposure of such savagery is the downfall of white nationalist agenda.
The entire world is facing the choice of those who embrace the wisdoms gained over the ages, vs the fool of savagery lusting to promote their heathen instincts.

We've seen many brought to the face of truth, when the ravages of the virus bring them to the brink of death, and the proclaim, "now" they understand... where as before they called the virus a hoax, they ignored it and denied the impact of what it is, unitl the money it brought the pains of desperation for breath... to awaken them... and now... they have come to respect it, and respect the lives of others... and abide by the gifts that Science and the professionals who risk their lives and dedicate themselves to helping others. They learn to respect them!!! and be thankful.
They should have completely shut the US down when this first started, even areas where they had more strict quarantines, they were still allowing trucks to make deliveries (from out of state even)! That is just asking for trouble.
The trucks were bringing, food, medical supplies, heating oil....
Besides...by late February/early March the virus was already all over the place, we now know in hindsight. It was probably here in December.

CDC refused to say how accurate testing was for COVID 19. Deaths were allowed to be fudged as in if someone died, even if never tested, and they might have had COVID 19, they could count that death as a COVID 19 death.
