At least two caucus meetings at this week’s Democratic National Convention began with recitations of the Pledge of Allegiance that omitted the phrase “under God.”
Two videos posted online — one of the person kicking off a Muslim meeting, and the other starting an LGBT meeting — showed the Pledge being recited incompletely.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands. One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” delegate A.J. Durrani said at the start of the DNC’s “Muslim Delegates and Allies Assembly.”
It looks like they did omit God, at least twice, at the DNC.
And as we have already seen here on C-D, the MAGAs picked up the lie and are running with it as though it is the absolute truth.
Lies are the sustenance MAGAs and their leader live on.
Constantly.
They don't check their sources, they just assume it is true.
Opinion is one thing, but any statement of fact can be checked.
What posters tend to forget is that a lot of people read these posts who are just observing, or 'lurking'. In many cases they outnumber the people posting. They are silent witnesses.
These readers aren't stupid, they can check sources, and many lurkers do. They can see when these MAGA types are spreading BS, or are posting nonsense they simply made up, things they perhaps EXPECT to be the case but have absolutely no way of actually knowing or confirming that. Lurkers can also see when Trump makes stuff up, and the MAGA types just ape it without a second thought.
Every time these people post like that, they lose credibility.
