Either way violence is coming. If Trump wins the west coast will rise up in rebellion. Western secession will be a reality by spring. The far leftist homeland of the PNW is especially radicalized. A socialist republic will be established.

If Biden wins the far leftists who are controlling him will immediately go to work trying to transform the country into a socialist nation. Red States will nullify federal law, rebuff and defy federal orders and legislation. Federal officials will be sent to enforce and violence will occur. A large block of red states will move towards secession.

Secession is the likely outcome for either a leftist sweep or a conservative sweep of the election. Hopefully the nation could break up peacefully but civil war is a more likely prospect.

One way for less violence to occur is a split government comes from the election. One party wins the White House and the other wins congress. This would result in useless government which could not proceed on any agenda or even function. No major changes could occur and current levels of anger and hatred would still simmer in our streets. This is not a good outcome but it would delay a civil war. No matter what we are in a lot of trouble. Our country is split down the middle between two irreconcilable positions. Forty percent of our citizens are full on Venezuela style socialists. They are violent and will not back down until they get what they are demanding. We must at some point face the revolutionaries and defeat them. It has to happen.

There is zero chance the US allows any secession. They will kill hundreds of thousands to prevent it without losing a wink of sleep and after things will be very bad for a lot of people.

I believe a conservative led federal government is more likely to allow peaceful secession of leftist states. We believe in states rights and largely believe secession is legal. If they want to go I believe they should be allowed to go. Serious secession movements did arise in 2016 out west after the Trump election so that option has already been on the table.

A leftist controlled federal government will use violence to suppress any red state defiance or secession against their control. They believe it is their duty to impose their belief system on us at all cost. Yes that scenario is the worst one and things will definitely get very bad as you say.

IMO it all depends on how things go in November, that will decide who will be doing the rebelling and who will not.

Move to a red state where nobody wants to move to in order to find plenty of peace and quiet in the streets, such as Oklahoma. It won't matter who wins the presidential election there. As a result, the cost of living is one of the cheapest in the nation. But the reason why nobody wants to move there is due to the incredibly bad weather and backward conservative culture.

Full scale riots AKA National Guard call up.

As we have seen lunatics these days will riot and loot at every single opportunity, justifying it with some mumbo jumbo about how it takes such actions for the world to take notice.

Yea, the world notices alright, what a bunch of crazies these rioters and looters are.

But one thing is for sure. There are many cities where citizens won't tolerate that nonsense and will defend themselves as we have seen in Boise.

I’ve been to Oklahoma. It is quiet and clean. Much of it is not exciting but there are places of quiet beauty in Oklahoma. It is not a bad state and if I had a good reason to live there I could.

The weather is bad out there though. We get a lot of tornadoes in Tennessee but Oklahoma is tornado central.

You post a lot of negativity about Oklahoma, I assume it’s the conservative culture you really hate. Why not move to a blue state If you hate it that much? At least for now we still live in a free country.

Also lack of jobs... social life, new ideas, different cultures.

I am originally form Miami and ended up in small town in PA. and graduated, but I already had traveled before. I was dying of boredom. The guys would take off hunting and women cooked, canned foods and got pregnant and had factory jobs. I left and never went back. My job now as a grandma is taking the kids overseas and anywhere they can experience different anything more than the every day blocked life. They are huge states with little in them, unless you like little, and that is OK with me.

The burning question (no humor intended) -can you overcome the government and working people of The United States of America by burning and looting them ?
Answer
Only if they have become nothing but a bunch of tired old men with rotten kids

A presidential election has led to a crisis once before. After Republican candidate Abraham Lincoln won in 1860, Democrats refused to accept him as president. Two months after the election, S.C. became the first state to secede from the union.

America's very bloody Civil War was preceded by decades of escalating partisan violence, often around elections.
