Well duh, anyone that's seen videos of aerosols released from talking, sneezing, etc. know how far it travels.

Quote:
Back then, scientists maintained that most of the infectious gunk people expel (say, about 90% of their pathogens) travel less than 6 feet away.

Their study measurements were never meant to be taken as hard-and-fast rules about how far we should stand from other people during a pandemic, though.

Nevertheless, these 3-to-6-feet rules of thumb have become easy-to-follow protocols for keeping potentially sick people at arm's length during the coronavirus outbreak.

"The dogma was born," the professor Lidia Morawska, a leading aerosol scientist in Australia, said of the 80-year-old 6-foot rule. "Like any dogma, it's extremely difficult to change people's minds and change the dogmas."

Well, which is it? Masks protect us so distance shouldn't matter? Or masks don't protect us so we need more than 6' between us?

They can't have it both ways.

I've said all along - this is a bunch of BS. Particles stay in the air and can travel 20 feet.

Fortunately, looters, shooters, arsonists, and rioters have a vaccine so there’s no need for them to follow any new guidance.

Oh shove it. No one cares.

If your Election Infection agitation were legitimate, the "protests" / riots would not have been condoned.

They were, and therefore this is political too.

The USA is widely tired of the Left pushing forced compliance measures on the rest of the nation because of its control fetish and because it thinks that it will help them with election fraud.

They have to have one, because this is SO CONTAGIOUS, that they would all be wiped out by now or at least hospitalized and off the streets!

Exactly! Also, I have noticed when it comes to businesses, first the ones considered "essential" like liquor and pot stores, Hostess snack cakes, McDonald's, etc. appear to have immunity that other small businesses did not have. And, now people that play sports, selective ones, appear to have that same immunity, while school children (who run around town together all day) don't have the same sort of immunity that the others have if they are attending school.

Yep,

What the Left doesn't seem to realize is there's a possibility that they could be making the virus worse by politicizing it.

The more they bicker, finger point and try to assign blame instead of trying to work together, the less people take the virus seriously.

The more politicized it gets, the more people roll their eyes about it and think that it's being overblown.
