Planned Parenthood used to give out the Margaret Sanger Award (their highest award). She is the founder of Planned Parenthood that began in 1916. Their facility in Manhattan was named after Sanger. Now they are removing the Sanger name as much as possible. The media has given them cover and kept these changes quiet. Why remove Sanger? She was a racist, and was against black folk and the poor.
The document acknowledges her association with the eugenics movement, but claims eugenics “was a theory accepted by most American scientists and physicians.” It also acknowledges Sanger’s speech to a meeting of the Ku Klux Klan, which Sanger referenced in her own autobiography.
Angela Franks, author of Margaret Sanger's Eugenic Legacy: The Control of Female Fertility, told the Register that Sanger saw birth control as the key means of equality for women, but also the key to population control.
Sanger’s worldview, Franks said, could be summarized by the phrase “quality not quantity.”
“Eugenicists often connected poverty with genetic problems,” Franks said. “So she believed that if you eliminated the poor, then there would be no more poverty. Instead of eliminating the problem, she would eliminate the people who had the problem.”
Franks said Planned Parenthood’s admission that Sanger has a “racist legacy” is accurate.

The democrats (and non political) that I have argued about abortion with ALWAYS use the argument that it is better to kill a baby that will eventually be a welfare baby. It is cheaper to abort than to support them. This is their argument 100% of the time. Shameful!
You can change a name, but you can't hide the namesake's founding principle of Eugenics infused into the organization. Planned Parenthood is actively engaged in attenuating black population growth under the banner of healthcare.

They may remove Sangers name but they wont end Sangers goal. Black babies are still their top victim.
