No surprise!

Another way to put it is: California has fewer per capita deaths (300) than about half the states, and 14 of those are republican, including texas, florida and ohio.

10 out of the dealiest 14 states/districts were Blue states/districts. That is 71.4%...almost 3/4ths.

All 10, are above the national average in deaths-per-million population (as shown by the chart in this link). Sort by column by clicking the top of each column.

The deaths per 1 million pop is the most powerful metric statistically speaking because its a ratio, or relationship, between 2 other metrics. Deaths are more meaningful than cass.

Scroll down to see the chart....then sort the deaths per 1M pop column from highest to lowest. 15 lines down, you'll see the National Average.

Once you drop below the national average in deaths per million population, the figures drop significantly.

I have also pointed out, ad nauseum, that public health is the States primary responsibility, not the federal governments.

Ultimately, the Chinese virus struck on Trump's watch, and I get that, but no human could have prevented the virus from reaching America due to all the inbound travel we have from so many different places.

Most infected travelers came from Europe, and most European flights land on America's East Coast far from California. Each states percent of senior citizens also contributes to death rates, as does populaton density.

Nobody can scientifically prove or disprove that Trump's response was better or worse than anyone else may have accomplished. That is all conjecture, hypothetical, & Monday morning quarterbacking.
