"Essentially, the Trump administration figures had compared one group of patients who got a certain kind of plasma with a group who got a different concentration at a different point in the disease, thus showing the relative difference between those groups. So, the number is not a wild exaggeration, just not particularly meaningful data.
Got it!
FWIW, I expect the actual benefit will be tremendous.
The number, without context, is meaningless. The number, in context, doesn'tshow what the FDA and the Trump administration claimed it showed.

Scientists find out Vitamin D is effective: The media finds scientists that say it isnt.
Scientists find out hydroxychloroquine is effective. The media finds scientists that say it isn't.
Scientists finds out blood sugar makes Covid worse, the media finds scientists that say eat what you want.
Scientists say convalescent plasma shows promise, the media finds scientists that say they were "bewildered".
The media states -- you must wear a mask -- scientists come out with numerous studies showing only partial effectiveness.
The media states -- covid is deadly -- more and more scientists rebel on live TV.
Are we seeing a pattern here?
