Because, if he activated the National Guard and sent A LOT of them in, CNN and MSNBC (probably OPs favorite network's) would call him Hitler, Stallin, and Mao all rolled up into one.
And if even a single rioter got killed during clashes with troops, the same liberals now complaining that he's not doing enough would call him a violent dictator.

I've seen several references to the fact that they're repeating the 2016 playbook, before he became president. It's like he's completely detached from the reality that he is president over everything currently going on in the country, not coming to the rescue of the country by being (re)elected in November.
If President Trump ordered U.S. Army troops into say, Chicago, Portland, Kenosha or where ever the Soros rioters are causing trouble. The troop are told that as soon as the first projectile is thrown from the crowd of rioters, troops have permission to use lethal force. So a couple rioters get shot dead. Then what? Isn't that really what you are wanting to happen?

These police abuses are old news, we just had 8 years of Obama and they remain was he just not a fan of the topic?
In fact, the only reason BLM is getting any traction instead of getting kicked to the curb is because Trump is unpopular, especially with the affected demographic.
So we get people like you milking this for political gain which is fine....but you know what happens when Biden is in the WH in 6 months? BLM once again gets marginalized...because people that only cared about this on a surface level for politics will abandon them.

Trump immediately made the Floyd protests worse. We needed a response that was compassionate, and called for reform to police brutality. Instead, Trump took a hard line for 'law and order', and gassed his own citizens. He took a lit match and threw gasoline on it, purely because it played to his political advantage.
Trump saw a problem, and like always, thought about how to use it to his and his family's advantage, he didn't give a second thought to what was best for the country.
Because he doesn't know how to govern. He has displayed a complete lack of empathy or understanding to those who don't agree with him. He has failed to understand that there can be opposition which is loyal to the nation and to the Constitution but which doesn't kowtow to him.
His law and order stance makes no sense. He should support the police by coming up with a national strategy which gets them back into law enforcement and out of the social services, but in fact many of the police calls are for checking on the behavior of people, of domestic arguments or arguments between neighbors or loud music; many of these could be done by other governmental agencies.
IOW, he doesn't give a rat's ass about doing the right thing and stopping the violence as he alleges he can do, he ONLY cares about what will benefit HIM. He's a self-absorbed putz, nothing more.
So you're more upset with Trump than with burn, steal and destroy.
He sent in Federal police to enforce Federal law and protect Federal property and employees and you and the Left screamed he was a dictator and overstepping his bounds and violating the Constitution and the Law. Huge hypocrite, aren't you OP?
It is up to the Mayors and Governors to stop this crap, yet in Democrat cities they just promote it as "PROTESTING". Thought they really weren't rioting to you guys??? Which is it?
Exactly. The proggies were whining about federal officers defending federal property just a few weeks ago, now their kvetching over Trump not sending in federal troops.
