Kind of obvious the way he was acting. The cop will still get jail time though.
No he won't.
What the cop did was legal in Minneapolis. County coroner said he died because of the drugs. Second degree murder charge must prove element of recklessness... but he was following the law.
Everyone has seen the video of the cop kneeling on Floyd's neck, while he's saying "I can't breathe".
And everybody figured (it was pretty obvious) that the reason he couldn't breathe, was because the cop's leg was cutting off his air.
But a few months after he died, another video suddenly was released, showing Floyd being put in a cop car during that arrest. It was BEFORE he wound up on the ground, and BEFORE the cop knelt on his neck.
And Floyd was already saying, "I can't breathe"... while he was still standing up. Long before he was on the ground, and long before the cop knelt on his neck.
So... was the cop kneeling on him, really the reason he couldn't breathe?
As the OP said, he had a huge dose of Fentanyl in him, more than enough to kill an ordinary healthy man his size. It was a massive OD.
And what's one of the symptoms of a Fentanyl OD? Shortness of breath.
If Floyd had never been taken to the ground, and if the cop had never knelt on his neck.... would Floyd have been dead in a couple minutes anyway, from a massive Fentanyl OD?
And if this new video showing Floyd saying he couldn't breathe while still standing up, had been released at the same time as the iconic one showing the cop kneeling on his neck while he said, "I can't breathe".... would a dozen American cities NOT have burned since that day?
So your new argument is that cops let George Floyd die when he was asking for medical help because they thought "eff him". How is that better?
When someone dies of opioid overdose, they DO NOT die screaming that they cannot breathe!!
They basically fall asleep and never wake back up, Some posters on here need to read up on opioids and their effects on the respiratory system and what happens when respiratory depression takes place.
But if people want to talk about the Fentanyl...thats fine, lets start by asking how and where he obtained it, ( Im pretty sure its illegal to have without a prescription), Are police in this are really that ineffective, that SO MANY drugs are bought and sold every single day? LOL
Some of you sure do like to jump to conclusions. Don’t you find it odd that 2 autopsies didn’t find fentanyl in his system, but today it’s revealed?

If you can say something, you are breathing.
You should only use the Heimlich Maneuver if a person is choking and his or her life is endangered by a windpipe obstruction. Choking is signaled by an inability to speak, cough or breathe, and may result in a loss of consciousness and death.

It was "revealed" months ago, at around the same time as at least one other autopsy. Nice try.
