One of the things that kills me about Obama, too.

America’s Abandonment of Syria
By Luke Mogelson

The disaster that subsequently befell northern Syria has been widely attributed to Trump’s capitulation to Erdoğan, which many people view as a gross betrayal of the Kurds. Senator Mitt Romney, raising the prospect of a congressional investigation into Trump’s decision, called it “a bloodstain on the annals of American history.”

Uh, that is an internal matter to Syria. The US should stay as far away as possible from that.

There is no betrayal of the Kurds, the US has no formal agreement, alliance, etc, and they are a non-state entity.

The US has invaded Syria, illegally occupying a country, and it is supporting Turkey, another country that has illegally invaded Syria.

The Kurds support a terrorist group, the US should not be supporting terror groups, groups associated with terrorist, nor supporting non-state actors in their violence against a government.

And the Syrian Kurds are Marxists and have close ties to the terrorists in our NATO ally Turkey. They don't get along well with the Iraqi Kurds.

We shouldn't be involved in other country's business. We have been doing the right thing by getting out of troubled countries. BTW - ISIS and the Caliphate are gone. Thank you President Trump.

There's no strategic value in Syria. The only reason to be there is to take down terrorist groups.

We should not follow in the failures of the previous administration. There is no point in being in Syria. There never was any good reason to involve ourselves there. Obungler's involvement in Syria was a total blunder and great showing of incompetence and arrogance. We should learn from the mistakes of the previous administration, not repeat them.

Not our country, not our citizens, not our problem. No reason to sacrifice even more American lives for the people of the Middle East. If they won't stand up to Muslim savages in their own countries, there is no reason for us to do so.
