That's way over your head. Take the easy way out where you don't actually have to use your brain to put two and two together... "It's just nature. It's just the way it is".

In other words, science be dammed. I want to believe in conspiracies because it fits my political views.

I mean, so far there has been no coherent national strategy to deal with the coronavirus. Seems like Trump's strategy has been to wish it would magically disappear. Meanwhile 180,000 have died. If he has some secret plan to defeat COVID-19, what is he waiting for?

He claims that the economy will come roaring back. I hope he's right. But what is his plan to make that dream come true?

All of the BLM protests and rioting have occurred under Trump's watch. We're told therefore we should vote to re-elect him? Maybe it is all the mayors and governors fault. So how would re-electing Trump help? Is it perhaps not time to try another approach, since his approach has failed?

Right now, the Trump Administration is suing to invalidate the Affordable Care Act. At the same time, he wants to abolish payroll taxes, which fund Medicare. So with no Obamacare and no Medicare, what are students, people with pre-existing conditions, the poor and the elderly supposed to do, just roll over and die? Where is this "beautiful" health care plan that he promised us 4 years ago?
Have you asked yourself what federal powers does POTUS have to deal with viruses on a national level, and what powers POTUS has to deal with localized rioting?
Have you asked yourself why legislators sue Trump every time he tries to inject federal authority over states?

As to abolishing payroll taxes you forgot to include the fact it is for 4 months to help employees, kind of like the stimulus money and extra 400/week to help the unemployed and all the other monies going to programs for those on government disability, SS and welfare checks. And that the money for SS will come out of the general fund for those few months.

If he keeps the senate, full blown oligarchy. If he loses the senate, nothing but poop tweets all day long.

It's OK for Trump to give millions to big private companies, right?

The plan to fight covid is to have a vaccine ready by the end of the year and keep sending financial support to the states. I doubt we will ever get to a state where there are zero cases, but if it gets down to less than a 100 a day, people will get used to that and stop fearing the virus. The economy should recover quickly then.

He will use the military if necessary to gain control of the cities instead of letting them burn.

As for healthcare, he is already fighting against a major problem which is the out of control drug prices.

Also, let's not forget, none of us have a 2nd stimulus check in our accounts thanks to Pelosi and the Democrats. That's completely on them.

Trump didn't start the riots. People did. Trump didn't start COVID - China did. When we started opening up from the lockdowns, people went to the bars... people went out and protests.

At some point - we have to look at ourselves. We vote in people who continue to overspend and promote bad policy.

Our failure as a country is not government's fault - it's a total system failure that's on everybody.
Some of that might be true. But if the government stood back and did nothing, we'd still be in that first mortgage crisis mess from 2008. A national crisis requires a national response. The Obama administration didn't throw up his hands when he took office in 2009 and say "Sorry states, you are on your own!"

The mortgage crisis was also "caused by ourselves." Banks offered loans to people that shouldn't receive them. No one forced their hand on that loan document. Back in 2007, I was pre-approved for a loan that I could never have afforded to pay and still feed myself, drive to work, etc. I did not take that loan. Millions of Americans did. They lived posh for a few years and then it all collapsed and took everyone else with them. So even though I did what was right, many Americans can't think for themselves. The house I did buy plummeted in value, I had to switch jobs and credit became much tighter. I didn't do anything wrong. Many other Americans did.

Sad to say, we can't be trusted. Many of us can, but there are many other Americans that spoil it for the rest of us. Maybe we do need the government in place to put in some guard rails. I don't like it, but I prefer that versus the millions of Americans who do the right thing being screwed over by Americans left to do as they please.

The same is true with coronavirus. Lots of people didn't take it seriously (maybe Trump claiming masks were a political statement against him had something to do with it). I've done my part. Many people I know have done their part. But, the millions of other Americans who made this explode from Memorial Day through the summer have ruined it for everyone else.

A response on the national level is in order. Trump isn't responsible for the creation of coronavirus. But he is responsible for our national response to it. He signed up for that the moment he held up his right hand and took the oath of office. And if you don't think he is responsible for the national response, then what exactly IS a President responsible for in a national crisis?

Then why does Trump and Pence blame Biden?

Good point. Many of the rioters are white.

Leftist politicians have unleashed anarchists on the public. And then other leftists bail them out to do more damage in the rare cases when they get arrested.

The riots really have nothing to do with the police shootings. Those are simply the excuse.
