The GOP celebrated their renomination of Trump by throwing a crowded party that was a jarring contrast in a nation where the spread of the coronavirus remains largely uncontrolled.

"More than 1,500 supporters poured onto the South Lawn for his formal acceptance speech to cap the Republican National Convention, and most were not wearing masks, even though they were seated closely together in white folding chairs.

The overwhelming majority of guests were not administered rapid coronavirus tests, Trump campaign and convention officials said, despite their relative proximity to the president and other White House officials. A White House official said it was logistically unfeasible to test such a large number of people."

This was a potential super spreader event. Maybe karma will take care of the orange infestation in Washington by itself...

Outside the White House gates were hundreds of unmasked close proximity protestors. Whaddaya have to say about them?

If KARMA took care of things, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

I say the president put himself at risk by having a large, unmasked event with hundreds of untested participants. I say the president is a potential super spreader of the virus.

Now if you want to discuss the protesters, go start a thread and do so.

That’s exactly the type of non-sensical response that I expected.

What do you say about the president holding court with 1,500 untested, unmasked supporters?

The guy likes to flaunt his disdain for the law, ethics, decency, and even science. Par for the course.

Four of these people already have tested positive for the virus.

I sure hope you don't get upset at what's going on at the Lincoln Memorial then.
